Summer Trinity Term 2025 – Part 2!

The end of another academic year is more bitter sweet than ever because once we go back to school I don’t have any pre-schoolers at home with me. It feels ridiculously rapid that time marched us here and Posie is no longer a baby but going to be a tiny little school girl. It has broken my heart and made it happier than ever all in one fell swoop. I want them to grow and to fly, of course I do, but my days at home without them are not as enjoyable as when they are with me all day and I can’t try and pretend it’s anything else. So allow me to feel sad too please, I can’t help it!
So, this last half term has been full of the brilliance of school. The culmination of the year for Florence and Jimmy with “Gather”, their celebration of everything performative and with gala night being the crowning glory to the calendar. Their end of year exams done, with results we can only be proud of them for, and then showcasing their talents on the sports field and stage makes us beam. Raffie too, with such beautiful dance performances and lovely words said about him makes us happy, happy, happy. Of course Posie could have walked into school quite some time ago and been fine (it’s just me), and in nursery she has thrived!
Florence (End of M5/Year 10)

Florence just astounds us with her maturity and levels of dedication to everything she does. Amazing exam results came not because she’s “just good at stuff” but because she works so hard to ensure she can be the best possible version of herself that she can. Her academic achievements have been rewarded with the grades to match the effort, and her stage talents recognised too. She won an Arneld award at school, which is of very high regard, for her performance in School of Rock and we couldn’t be prouder. Lovely, kind, caring, considerate, compassionate, good fun, talented, funny, brilliant, friendly, and all sorts in between. She’s finished M5 on a high and goes into U5 (her G.C.S.E year) with a smile on her face. Go Flobo!
Jimmy (End of U4/Year 8)

Jimmy had a fantastic year with many sporting achievements in the rugby A team for school, and Norwich rugby club outside. He threw himself into hockey, then cricket, and on the side has enjoyed everything he didn’t mean to get involved with in the dance department – The very best thing about watching him play at house cricket, then win the 800m at school sport’s day, was the 4 different teachers telling me what a great guy he is, how valued his presence at school is, and how he has also done so well with his exams this year. I beamed when he received a letter through the post about his contributions to drama this year and though we have some rocky moments with him at home sometimes, it fills me with joy that at school he has great friends and is a well thought of member of his house. Well done Jimmy!
Raffie (End of Year 2)

Raffie continues to say he “hates” school, but actually, I think he really rather likes it! He doesn’t, however, like having his picture taken much (which was fine for his passport renewal but not so much the family albums) but has gone great guns bringing his reading and writing up, dedicating himself to doing that when asked to do so! He has also enjoyed dance at school as much as outside of it and continues to be a BRILLIANY little performer – where do they all get it from I wonder?! Raffie, the sunshine boy, you make us well up with how brilliant you are and when you smile that gappy smile it literally lifts every mood!
Posie (End of Nursery)

In all honesty Posie could have sauntered into big school a year ago and been absolutely brilliant there. She’s been ready for ages! Me, on the other hand, I’ll never be ready for my baby of the pack to go to big school and leave me! She says “You don’t want me to go to big school do you Mummy? But I think you’ll be ok!” I don’t know where she gets this confidence because I think I won’t be but there we are… She is bright and couldn’t be more awesome in every way, school are getting a massive win with my baby Posie Pops!
Here are the best bits from the last half of the last term 2025!
