Tribe Norfolk – Family Festival East Side!

You don’t go through Norfolk on your way to anywhere else. You either come here. Or… You don’t. So I guess you need reasons to visit or you simply won’t make our lovely little county of glorious. And this would mean you’d miss out!

There are reasons a plenty though my friend… But if the beaches (Cromer’s my fave) and the picturesque shopping, the close proximity to fast train travel into London, two cathedrals and a pub for every day of the year in our main city of Norwich aren’t enough to tempt you…

If a boat down the Norfolk broads, better weather (apparently it’s true folks), a night sky full of stars untainted by smog, a premiership football team (whatever floats your boat mate), a market, gin distillery, Delia Smith and a bloody great big fecking castle can’t tingle your taste buds then…

How’s. About. THIS!

On the weekend of the 13th and 14th of July Tribe Norfolk will open up its festival flood gates for parents and their baby offspring (older ones too) to kick back their heels and go feral (totally legitimately and in a way that even the most middle class yummy mummy in front of her pastel doorway would approve of) for a weekend of fun in the forest!

Live music, craft stations, workshops, yoga, camping (if you like) and more… Much, much more with absolutely masses for the kiddos including BeWILDerwood on hand to entertain, and I can’t think of a better way to turn 40! Yep… It’s my birthday weekend and I’ll be there with a can of beer in my hand, glitter on my face and friends to hand…

Festivals are for glitter, hair in braids, flower garlands, having a beer, being with mates and sharing it with your family – as far as I’m concerned you can have your Downloads and Boardmasters… It’s all about being with the kids big and small for me!

I love a family festival and have travelled far to get to them in the past. I love even more that this one is just an hour’s drive from my house (it’s near Kings Lynn) and that I’ve managed to persuade pals who would otherwise not be up for a festival with tents and portaloos to come along just for the day. In fact day tickets are really inexpensive and if you want a festival vibe without the camping then why not try this one!

Me pregnant with the Raff here enjoying festival life whatever the weather! P.S, Neither the coffee or the beer was mine in this pic!

So Tribe Norfolk gets ready to welcome you for a weekend of wellness, fun, music, boutique shopping (a retreat with beer) and fab food! Friends and a tipple are what I’m looking forward to along with Jonny bringing his guitar so that we can play band-eoke around the campfire- why don’t you join us? It’s gonna GO OFF!

Tribe Norfolk weekend is being held at the Happy Valley camp site and is on over the weekend of the 13th and 14th of July 2019. Ticket prices: Saturday £15 adult and £7.50 child, Sunday £12 adult and £6.00 children (under 3s FREE). Camping is £12 per adult and £6 per child per night and glamping is available directly with Happy Valley. Tickets can be purchased by clicking HERE! PLEASE NOTE TICKETS ARE ONLY THESE PRICES IN ADVANCE AND ON LINE – THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE DOOR BUT ARE MORE EXPENSIVE!

Some top tips for a family festival weekend would be to leave your dignity at home and be prepared for the portaloos, bring bog roll, anti bac wipes and a phone charger and invest in a wagon so the kids can go to sleep and you can still party… By party I mean chat with your pals with live music in the back ground and stay up past 9pm… I know how to live!
