Love On The High Street

I love a bit of Wilko shopping and could spend hours browsing for they really do seem to sell just about everything! Things I regularly buy are craft packs because they’re so inexpensive but very good quality, cake and baking equipment and birthday cards and wrapping because they’re always gorgeous and cost peanuts! I also go there for any kind of special occasion as I’m always sure to find what I’m looking for!

Valentine’s Day is no exception and I have been very impressed, especially with their table wear! Now you can’t go to many places and pick up plates, wine glasses, serving bowls and slate place mats for under £20 but here you can and they I have managed to Valentine my dinner table up with some lovely pieces which are not only perfect for this most romantic of dates but which I will use all the time! How good are these?!

I love, love, love these heart shaped dipping bowls (£4.50 would you believe) and they look really lovely on their wooden tray. The wine glasses are perfect for a romantic meal (£2.50 each) and the plates (1.50 each) are brilliant. BUt these are by far my best buy for Valentine's day! 2 slate placemats for £6! LOVE it. I used chalk to write a message on mine and think in the future I will use them as desert plates rather than place mats because they are SO lovely. They also do coasters in slate which are awesome! We had dim sum last night so were getting prematurely festive for both Valentine’s Day AND Chinese New Year and I think the table looked awesome with my new things from Wilko! Bargainous!
