Grow Your Own Gardening Challenge With Heinz – We Have Lots Of Little Leaves!

Posted in Uncategorized

I have a little tomato update! We joined in with the Heinz Grow Your Own Challenge a while ago and planted some seeds! Those seeds grew shoots and now we have lots of little leaves! We’ve been watering them every day and keeping a close eye on the little tomato plant which we hope will grow us some fruit to make our own chutney and sauces with! Soon it will be time to transfer them to a bigger post I […]

Maxi-Cosi Loola – Out And About!

Posted in Uncategorized

A few days ago I wrote about a new buggy we’d been sent to test and gave you my first impressions! We immediately liked what we saw with the new version of the Maxi-Cosi Loola and now that we’ve been using it whilst out and about I am here to give you an update and tell you that our opinion hasn’t changed. The updated version of an old favourite from the Maxi-Cosi brand is officially launched today at the Birmingham Baby […]

I Don’t Like My Face!

Posted in Uncategorized

It might sound a bit dramatic but the title of this post is a statement I feel. Every single day. I don’t like my face. I guess I’ve often in my life been overly critical of the way I look. After going to drama school I became quite fixated on my body and how fat (or actually it should have been how thin) I was. I scrutinised every single part of me and never liked what I saw. Over the […]

A Performance For Babies -Lullaby At The Polka Theatre!

Posted in Uncategorized

Yesterday I wrote about what a lovely time we had watching Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play at the weekend. We always have a lovely time at the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon because it’s just such a lovely place. Come rain or shine there are things to do and you know what? You don’t even need a ticket to go and enjoy their play areas or have a cup of tea and some lunch in their cafe. I’ve been a […]

Maxi-Cosi New Loola – First Impressions!

Posted in Uncategorized

We’ve always used Maxi-Cosi car seats. I was recommended one before I had Florence and then when we moved her up into her big seat it was a natural progression to choose the same brand. We’ve always been very pleased with our choices and the children have always felt comfortable and happy in their seats. My Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix, which is the infant seat we chose for Florence and have subsequently used for Jimmy too, has been brilliant and it even fits […]

Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play – Polka Theatre!

Posted in Uncategorized

We’ve talked about the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon a few times before. We’ve mentioned their fab outdoor play area, the train you can eat lunch on in the cafe, how if it’s wet outside there’s still loads of fun to be had indoors and ultimately, how much we’ve enjoyed the shows we’ve seen in their theatre and theatre rooms… We’ve LOVED the shows we’ve been to see actually and ‘Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play‘, which is also extremely new […]

This Movie Is ‘Epic’!

Posted in Uncategorized

At the weekend we were lucky enough to be invited to the gala screening and party for the new movie ‘Epic’! (See the trailer here!) From the creators of ‘Ice Age!’, Blue Sky and Fox’s latest animation has got to be up there as one of the best we’ve seen this year! We’re big  fans of an animated movie in this house and have our favourites which we watch over and over; I think ‘Epic’ might just have tipped into […]

In Memory Of Matilda Mae

Posted in Uncategorized

On 2nd May last year I gave birth to my healthy baby boy. On 2nd May last year, my friend Jennie gave birth to her healthy baby girl. There was no difference. Both babies born healthy, loved, cherished and cared for with whole hearts. My baby sits before me today playing with my television remote control, he smiles up at me and giggles, calls me Mummaaaay and is healthy, loved and cherished. Jennie’s baby slipped away one night when she […]

Freedom Of Speech!

Posted in Uncategorized

When we came back from our lovely birthday holiday and I logged on to my blog for the first time I was astounded to see that my last post had had quite so many hits. I hadn’t promoted it particularly well as I was rushing around getting things ready for our trip and hadn’t expected the thousands of hits it had raked up. Upon closer inspection into the world of the internet I realised that the post, which had been […]

Drusillas Park!

Posted in Uncategorized

On Jimmy’s birthday we were lucky enough to be invited to Drusillas Park which was an hour away from where we were holidaying. I’d heard of the park, which is primarily a zoo, and was keen to visit with my family – so to be able to try it out for the blog on Jimmy’s special day was brilliant! A friend who has been had told me she’d enjoyed it and had spoken highly of the ‘Thomas’ train which her […]
