#PampersUnicef 1 Pack = 1 Vaccine – 10 year Anniversary 1 Wish!

Posted in Uncategorized

Two years ago we worked with Pampers to help promote their 1 Pack = 1 Vaccine campaign. This is their partnership with Unicef to donate vaccines in third world countries to eradicate maternal and newborn tetanus. For every pack of Pampers bought they will donate a vaccine and have been doing so for the last ten years! Maternal and newborn tetanus may not be a disease that you’re familiar with because here in the UK we receive vaccinations and, more […]

Slumbersac – Review!

Posted in Uncategorized

When the children were tiny we used to put them in those gorgeous little sleeping bags which zipped around them and poppered over their shouldres. they were great for keeping them warm as they didn’t need a blanket over them which might have got kicked off and when they were really, really tiny they were good for peace of mind knowing that they didn’t have a cover which might go over their faces in the night. Florence loved hers in […]

Michael Rosen’s Bear Hunt, Chocolate Cake And Bad Things – Discover Story Centre!

Posted in Uncategorized

A couple of years ago we met the author Michael Rosen on an organised ‘bear hunt’ in the woods. It was all about an initiative with Highland Spring to get the nation writing the longest ever fairytale and we had the most splendid day with Michael who read to the children and was exactly how he seems on screen. He made us smile from the minute we got there until the minute we left and even though it was such […]

Kid’s Teatime Takeover With McCain!

Posted in Uncategorized

McCain wrote to me a couple of week’s ago with a suggestion that I might let the kids takeover teatime. Now while we do quite a bit of baking together I have never really let the children loose on anything more than decorating the top of a pizza so I was quite unsure what to cook with them. Our kitchen is tiny (just another reason for our upcoming move) and frankly I like to get in and out as quickly […]

Hey Duggee Magazinee – Review!

Posted in Uncategorized

This week we were sent the a brand new magazine to review from the one and only ‘Hey Duggee‘ of CBeebies fame. The show, which Jimmy is really rather fond of (it’s aimed at ages 3-5) is based around the Squirrel Club which is a bit like Rainbows/Brownies and Cubs in the sense that all the little characters work towards gaining badges for their accomplishments. It’s really very sweet and as each epsode teaches a new skill to the audience as […]

My Little Pony Rainbow Dash Style And Groom Launch Party!

Posted in Uncategorized

When I was little I was rather into ‘My Little Pony’ and I had quite a few of them including Peachy and the Grooming Parlour, Blossom, Apple Jack and some ‘My Little Pony’ sea horses. These days ‘My Little Pony’ is as popular as ever and even though new characters like Rainbow Dash, one of the most popular from the hit TV show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, have usurped the likes of Blossom and Peachy, Apple Jack is stilll going […]

Fashion For A Rockin’ Baby!

Posted in Uncategorized

Back in February I reviewed a really great sling for a company called Rockin’ Baby. We loved it, especially as Jimmy was an older child when we first used it. We do still like to use slings but not many are great for children over the age of 2; This one is however and we still carry Jimmy even now that he’s nearly three and a half! That’s pretty good value when you consider the longeovity of the product because it can […]

Boo York, Boo York – A Monster High Review!

Posted in Uncategorized

We’ve been doing a fair few Monster High reviews recently and when I was asked if I’d like to try one of the latest dolls from the new ‘Boo York’ range it immediately made me think of New York where my friend Elea lives. I loved New York when I went but it was a long time ago now and because I have my dear friend that lives there and I don’t get to see her often enough at all, […]

Study Abroad Bratz – Review!

Posted in Uncategorized

When I went to the launch party to celebrate Bratz dolls being back recently I was quite taken with the ‘Study Abroad’ range. The dolls, there are five of them including Raya, Cloe, Sasha, Yasmin and Jade have lots of different ranges but this one really took my eye. Five dolls sent to study in five different contries and dressed up to fit! I really liked two of the dolls best at the launch, one was the London doll and […]

Casdon Woodplay Castle Boxset – Review!

Posted in Uncategorized

Jimmy was sent a little wooden castle playset to play with this week and because he’s literally not stopped playng with it ever since he got it out of the box I had to write about it straight away! We think it’s absolutely delightful! The Castle Woodplay Boxset is made by Casdon and it is encouraging Jimmy to play small world games, make voices and act out stories with the little characters that come with it. It’s a small box (the […]
