Did you know that you can save tokens for FREE days out with Cravendale milk’s new Love Cravendale Scheme? Basically sign up to their website and start saving tokens for family experiences and activities! Just for joining the scheme you’ll receive a 2 for 1 voucher straight away!

We love this idea and have been trying out some of the fab things they have on offer!

Last week while on holiday in Dorset we set about the first of three family experiences we are taking with the scheme and we visited Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park in Poole! We loved it!

The farm is small but perfectly formed and despite the size has everything you could hope for in a fun family day out! Activities for the children, educational talks, hands on animal experience and lots and lots of play areas! You can even ride on a real tractor which was super fun! We went to Peppa Pig World the day before and we enjoyed the farm just as much I’d say – it was like a little slice of simplicity but with a great big injection of fun. They’ve really looked at what will please children and in every little nook and cranny there are things to delight! If only we lived closer and we’d be back for sure! If you’re in Poole, Dorset way then you must go! We go to a lot of fun farms but actually, and I don’t say this lightly, this might be my favourite yet!

Farmer Palmer's Farm Day Out
Who’d have thought simple hay bales and slides, tunnels in the side and a big barn to house them all could be so much fun? What an inspired idea and one of the first things you come to!

The tunnels were so much fun and had us all giggling and in the barn opposite a mass of ride on tractors was just as inviting!

Hay, slides and tractors! I felt like I was in the Waltons! This is such a simple play idea but it works perfectly! I have a bit of a thing about hay bales – it’s a bit of a joke with me and Jonny – I just love them!

There are fun things to do everywhere and we do love a ‘face in hole’ picture! Jimmy and Florence loved the indoor bouncy castle behind the tractors. There’s also one outside like a giant cow complete with udders!

Next barn along and it was time to meet the animals. Lots and lots of little animals from tiny ponies to baby lambs and a big pregnant pig who was heavily over due! I hope the poor girl has had them by now! The children loved being able to touch!

We loved feeding the baby lambs who were just learning to feed from a bottle and going for the milk talk and meeting Susan the cow was a particular highlight too! Outside we enjoyed pig racing and wandering amongst the animals!

After all that we’d worked up a bit of an appetite. I would usually bring picnics wherever I go and there was plenty of space to have one but we were away from home so we went to the cafe. It was rather pricey but the macaroni cheese that we all tried was just yummy! Totally delicious! And… More play inside near the cafe with a tiny soft play for children Jimmy’s age and a BIG one for Florence!

And then more fun outside of course! We enjoyed the tractor ride which is £1 per person extra and the go cart racing was super fun!

The animals outside looked very happy – what a lovely place to live!

The sun even came out so that we could make use of the splash area and the children LOVED it!

Then sadly it was time for home – but not before we’d had a play in the play ground!
