A portrait for chairty!

A friend of a friend is doing something amazing for charity and using her talents as a portrait illustrator in the process! The Willow Foundation, which was established in 1999 by Arsenal legend Bob Wilson and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter, organises special days for seriously ill people between the ages of 16 – 40! The charity wants to provide a little respite for people who are sick and their families; it believes spending time with loved ones at their time of uncertainty can provide them with something ‘normal’ to enjoy without having to think about treatment and it offers them the chance to create treasured memories. A very worthy cause you’ll have to agree. Alice Aird, in her bid to help the charity raise much-needed funds charges £25 for a portrait which she can create from one or multiple photographs. You send her the pictures and she creates the portrait, simple really! Her aim is to make £2.5k by December and illustrate 100 portraits for the charity! The £25 fee is 100% donated to the foundation and she does not profit at all! They’re unique, simple and beautiful portraits and what better way to donate to charity! Have one commissioned of your baby, your wedding, your cat? Whatever you want she’ll provide To visit her Face Book page click on this link Alice Apple Portraits to find out how you can commission a portrait and donate to her Just Giving page in payment! And take a look at her blog too!
