Askamum love my blog, ooo-errr how exciting! My little big one started nursery for the first time after Christmas and she on the one hand seems to love it and on the other hand doesn’t want to go at all. It’s kind of how I feel about it all too! Part of me is happy that she’s going because it’ll aid her personal development, give her a whole new challenge (which she needs) and also give me time to spend with my little, little one […]

I don’t know about other Mum’s but I’m always searching for that elusive perfect bib! There are lots of styles on the market and I’ve tried an awful lot. Some good, some bad and some which my children have refused to wear! I even at one point made my own tabards for Florence because she was so adamant that she wouldn’t wear anything round her neck. I think it’s that round the neck feeling that both of mine find so […]
When we came back from my Mum’s after Christmas we had so many presents to bring home that we had to leave the Donkey there until my next visit! The Donkey is small but there has to come a limit when you only have a tiny car! Gutted I have to say but at least we have had the Bee to use, buggy pushing would be so much harder without a trusty Bugaboo! Anyway, despite having my Bee (which I […]
Yesterday I wrote a post on the brilliant Asda Baby and Toddler Event and it was while I was doing my Baby and Toddler shopping that I realised they also have a Health and Beauty Event at the same time! I love products and pampering so I have to say I was very drawn and while ordinarily I wouldn’t allow myself to be due to budgeting, because it was Asda, I knew the prices were going to be fabulous so I simply couldn’t […]
It’s time to stock up again on all those baby essentials at Asda! Their Baby and Toddler Event is well and truly in the swing and from now until 10th february they are offering massive savings across the range! Not just on their own brand products but on many premium brand products from food, nappies and skin care to car seats, travel cots and toys! Bargains like Lindam Safety Gates which start at just £15 (I’m a big Lindam fan) and the Play […]
A while back Florence, Jimmy and I made a trip to the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon to see their production of ‘Too Many Penguins’ which we absolutely loved (read my review here). The theatre, which is the other side of London for us, is dedicated to children’s live entertainment and playing and was an absolute find! We would make the trek over there any time for it is so wholeheartedly worth it! The show we saw was perfect for Florence’s age although Jimmy […]
As a Mum of two growing children my aim when it comes to feeding them is to give them healthy and nutritious home-made fodder on a daily basis. Obviously as a busy Mum of two growing children I don’t always have the time to prepare something homely from scratch and I often reach out a hand for a short cut – that hand is very often gripped firmly by Mr Heinz!. I don’t feel guilty if I give the children […]
Florence was born on New Year’s Eve which is fantastic for lots of reasons! One is that everyone is always in party mode but the down side is that everyone is in party mode for something else… At least everyone is happy and jovial but instead of saying happy birthday they say Happy New Year so really and truly she has to stretch her birthday out a bit! I always give her a couple of her presents in the summer […]
I am both a cleaning fan and hater all in one! While I hate the thought of having to clean the house and hate the actual process of doing it, I can’t bear dirt and mess and simply have to do a weekly deep clean or I feel funny! I don’t know why it is but I often go to other people’s houses and notice their dirt and I’d be mortified if anyone noticed it in my house so I […]
I have always had very inexpensive handsets for my land line phones. I’m not particularly technological and on the one occasion when I was given an old phone which was a little bit super from my Uncle, I ruined it within weeks by replacing the battery for a normal AA one and effectively killing it dead… I hadn’t realised you had to use the special AA rechargeable batteries that came with the phone… From then and coupled with the fact […]
