A few weeks ago Jimmy came out with a rash on his back and I had no idea what it was or why it had come. It didn’t look too bad and I suspected it was a reaction to something but what? We had recently started using a nappy that we’d not used before so I stopped using them but the rash persisted. It spread to his legs and I took him to the Doctor who advised it was dermatitis. He […]

It’s a good job that Jonny doesn’t really read my blog because if he did he’d find out what I have planned for the Father’s Day weekend! We love a good family day out and as we are going to be in Norfolk I have planned for us to go to a theme park both Jonny and I used to love as children! Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft used to be one of my favourite places to go as a […]
Jonny and I have been using Dentyl Active Enamel Restore mouthwash for the past few days and have decided we really like it. It’s a bit different to other mouthwashes because it shows you (bit grim) in the sink all the plaque and debris that the toothbrush didn’t manage to get when you brush! It’s called a two phase mouthwash and is the only brand of mouthwash in the UK which uses this sort of technology. The plaque and left over […]
My daughter often asks me questions like ‘Where do we get beans from?’ Or, ‘What trees do strawberries grow on?’ They’re all easily explainable with a nice little non upsetting answer and she loves to learn. That might have been about it for her farming knowledge though? She definitely didn’t think the chicken she eats is also the chicken that she likes to visit at farms and I wasn’t entirely sure if I should, or how I could, explain it […]
I told you that as an official blogger for Lollibop I’d be able to bring you all the breaking news and something’s just come in which looks AWESOME! A common misconception is that the Lollibop Festival is just for the tiny tots but I can absolutely assure you there’s something for everyone and this year there’s more than there’s ever been before for the older ones! One of my friend’s children is eleven and she thought he wouldn’t want to go again […]
Last year we went as a family to The Foodies Festival when it was held at Battersea Park. We had an absolutely brilliant day and I was very keen to go along again this year. They hold lots of festivals across the country in the summer and have three in London this year; there was one at Hampton Court palace a few weeks ago, the one this weekend at Clapham Common and a new addition has just been announced for […]
Last week I wrote about how much we enjoy Little Dish meals and we reviewed their new pasta sauce and filled pasta which went down very well in my house! I noticed on the packaging that they have tickets for children to gain FREE entry to LegoLand! We’ve been trying to go to LegoLand for some time now. We went when Florence was tiny but she’s a bit older now and would enjoy it more. This summer it looks fab […]
Can’t wait! I’ve looked at the myhavenholiday.com website and we only have 13 sleeps to go until our holiday! It seemed like a long time to wait back when we were deciding which park to stay at but suddenly there’s less than a fortnight to go! Florence has been looking at the site which when you add your booking details, brings up a bespoke page just for you! As well as giving you the countdown to your holiday there’s a […]
On Friday we went to In The Night Garden Live! It’s the third time we’ve been actually so I knew just what to expect! Florence was a big fan of the show from very early on and we took her at the end of July 2011 when she was just a year and a half old. Looking back at the date and it must have quite literally been a week before I got pregnant with Jimmy! That was Florence’s first […]
It’s well documented on my blog that I’m not really a re-usable nappy person. I can’t stand the smell of them in the bucket, the thought of carrying around poo in my handbag and quite frankly the faff of the washing and getting the stains out. People hang them on the line to let the sun bleach them for example, I would only want to be doing that if I really HAD to! Plus, I don’t have a garden to […]
