Is Your Baby Born Free?!

Posted in Uncategorized

We get sent a lot of cups to review in the Rocknrollerbaby household and can really only write about the ones we like lots. I might have to offer to send some back to PR companies at times because there isn’t anything very specific to be said about them? Often they’re not totally rubbish but what’s the point in writing a whole blog post to say ‘this cup is adequate and does the job it’s intended with slight leakage’? I […]

Donkey Works Like A Donkey!

Posted in Uncategorized

No, I’ve STILL not ‘jazzed up for summer‘… I almost did one day last week when something unusual and warm popped out from behind a cloud but then it went right back behind it again so the footmuff is still well and truly staying – for now! (I have the footmuff in sand and it matches the sand hood you see – I’m a bit matchy like that I’m afraid)! Le Donk has been working SO hard lately, when the […]

Silver Cross Classic Bears!

Posted in Uncategorized

At a recent launch party held by veterans of the pram world, Silver Cross, Jimmy was given a teddy bear as a gift to take home. The bear came from the Silver Cross Classic Gift collection and in celebration of all things British is named ‘George Classic British Bear‘. He wears a Union Jack handkerchief in the pocket of his tailored waistcoat which also has Union Jack embroidered buttons and is totally delightful with his jointed limbs and sweet face . […]

Polarn O. Pyret!

Posted in Uncategorized

I recently wrote about my favourite baby outfit ever which is a gorgeous ensemble from Polarn O.Pyret given to me by my old work colleagues when I was pregnant with Florence. She wore it and wore it and now Jimmy does too as it’s unisex; I still love it and it still looks great despite many, many washes! It sparked a love of PO.P clothes for me and we have continued to wear them ever since. From their socks (which stay on) and tights […]

A Tea Party Fit For A Mad Hatter (And A Jimmy) – Getting The Tea Right!

Posted in Uncategorized

In just under two weeks time we will be throwing Jimmy Buster Bumblebee his first ever birthday party and for the theme I have chosen for it to be a ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’! I have jars to put tea bags in and bowls to keep the loose tea leaves, wooden spoons are decorated to tell you what each tea is and I’ve been busily collecting china cups and saucers for mismatched retro cups of tea. My Mum is making […]

Not A Good Prime Minister!

Posted in Uncategorized

This week has seen Mrs Thatcher’s ceremonial funeral and while I think it’s sad when anyone dies, leaving people who love them behind, I am not a fan of the Iron Lady. I am staunchly left wing and when I say Labour I mean old Labour. I vote red now because it’s the best, as the Lib Dems have thoroughly proven by getting into a blue bed, of the bunch but for me the 80’s left wing politics are where […]

Make It Amoyzing – Special Selection Soy Sauce And Mouth Watering Chicken Recipe!

Posted in Uncategorized

I think whenever I’ve bought Soy sauce I’ve just gone for whatever is cheapest and not really thought too much about it. How different can it be right? Well, wrong actually! Yesterday Chinese chef Hannah Hayes explained to me why actually only the best ingredients should be used in Chinese cookery and also which ones to choose. You might think Chinese cooking sounds like a lot of hard work and not something you can re-create at home. In fact Chinese […]

Lollibop, Lollibop,Oh,Lolli, Lolli,Lolli!

Posted in Uncategorized

For the past two years I have taken the brood to Lollibop, ‘the big bash for little people’ and a proper festival but of the pint sized (in attraction not in size) variety. It is exactly as it says, a full on festival with music and entertaining acts but everything is directed at the tiny ones. There’s a main stage where the big acts like Rastamouse and the Zingzillas have played in the past and all around it are stalls, […]

Nikon Training Course Coming Up!

Posted in Uncategorized

I mentioned in a previous post that I shall be embarking upon a training courses run by Nikon so that I can really and properly learn how to use my new Nikon D3200 camera. My pictures have been getting better (I think) on my own so with any luck they’ll be even better after this Friday when My course is running! My course is very specific to the type of camera I have but they run different ones so do have a look at their […]
