Last night I attended a dinner hosted by Colgate for people with sensitive teeth. As a tooth grinder myself, I know only too well, the pain and discomfort some foods can cause. Now my teeth aren’t too bad but my Mum suffers terribly from time to time. I will always eat all foods and wince through the pain but very often she cannot even attempt certain dishes. It’s really horrible to not enjoy something yummy because of sensitive teeth and […]

Guess what! I’ve actually used a different function on my Nikon D3200 and taken it off the ‘automatic’ for the first time… I went to meet my best friend Eve who is also very ‘into’ taking photographs. She actually has the camera one down from my D3200 and although she only bought her camera in October, she’s done way more with it that I have and had some handy tips for me! One of them was ‘just try every button and see […]
Florence is actually a rather big ‘Mike The Knight’ fan so don’t be fooled into thinking this is just for the boys! I really don’t mind it either and as with other programmes which are shown on CBeebies I find it’s actually quite palatable for the grown ups too! I LOVE the voice of the dragon! We were lucky enough to be sent a copy of the DVD for us to review and also to offer one for a competition prize! Read […]
Last week we wrote part 1 of our Easter Crafts with ELC posts. We had so much fun we knew we’d want to do some more so we split our write-up into two parts and now that we’ve done some more, here is our second post! With everything in ELC’s Easter craft kit ranges being half price, they’re absolutely superb value at the moment! We like to make our own things from time to time but The Early Learning Centre do fabulous kits and with […]
ROLL UP, ROLL UP – FOR THE SUNWALK LONDON! Join in with a massive family event this summer and help raise money in aid of breast cancer! What a fab idea and great fun thing to do! It’s healthy, it’s keeping fit, it’s spending time together as a family… And it’s all for charity – brilliant! The SunWalk is a fun, fitness event that encourages the whole family to get healthy by walking together – giving parents and children the opportunity to walk 5K, […]
We were going to do a lot of things today. We were going to visit the Tate Modern and we were going to put our new special ‘Jazz Up Summer’ canopys on Le Donk… But… It’s snowing!! So, looks like the only place we’ll be going today is the supermarket to buy some hot chocolate and we will most certainly need the footmuff on the buggy; so for now… The sand colours stay! I really, really wanted to change to my summer […]
When I was pregnant with Florence I wasn’t sure I would breast feed. I mean I think I wanted to but it all seemed a little weird and I was just going to wait and see what happened. I decided I would try to do it to begin with but then probably, as it all sounded very hard, give up and go on to formula. As soon as she was born and wouldn’t latch on properly, instead of taking the […]
The start of spring breathes fresh air into me. It’s cool but hopeful hint at summer and all the flowers blooming make me feel so happy and with it often comes that first hit of sunshine which always makes me feel good. I love all the new life, the baby lambs and chicks – Easter time always feels rather beautiful don’t you think?l! Last year on an Easter day out at a farm Florence held a baby chick – what […]
With Jimmy being a bad led weaner we don’t usually ‘do’ baby food. We do use trusted brands for snack and finger food but when it comes to puree Jimmy has never really been into it… I’ve tried him many times with the pouches of puree because they look so easy but he’s never been interested, even if I let him hold the pouch himself and use the spout as a straw. I can’t blame him as I’ve tried a few myself […]
