Spring/Summer 2017 At Crocs!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

So I have a friend who ONLY wears Crocs. She says she’d never wear any other footwear because they look good and they are SO comfy. This summer when I started Instagramming pictures of my new summery Crocs and saying things like ‘Crocs have come a long way since the clog, who knew?!’ she was very cross with me and told me that SHE knew, had known for ages and HAD been telling me… I clearly hadn’t listened but with my new found discovery I wasn’t about to back away again any time soon.

Love these Crocs! I wore them all summer!

The classic Croc clog is still going strong although these days I think we all know it’s not so much of a fashion statement but more a comfort thing. Kids still love them and they’re SO practical why ever not and they also have their adult fans too. However, the OTHER Crocs are really quite something else. Beautiful summery jelly type shoes are what took me through the better weathered months and I am soon to have a pair of rain boots to journey with me through winter. They also do warming clogs with little heels and fur linings which look amazing but when you live in what’s better described as a muddy field I think their bright, bold and gorgeous rain boots are just the ticket and they are going to be perfect for the children too. I shall let you know when we get them and how we get on but if they’re only half as comfy as my summer shoes then I’ll be extremely happy!

And now… I’ve been lucky enough to have a little first look at the Spring/Summer collection for 2017 and I have to say, I’m even more impressed! Not only has designer Christopher Kane been working with them on a line filled with semi-precious stones for his catwalk show (you can buy these through Christopher Kane and later, a less expensive version will be on sale with Crocs directly) but they have gone to TOWN with their summery shoes for next year!

The rest of the summer collection has kept the Croc’s signature sole (of course) which is over comfort but… In some of the shoes they have doubled it and even layered over it with fabrics for a different look but the same feel and… They have created some fantastic sandals, flip flops and more of those jellies I love so much with different finishes and colours. I was particularly impressed with the kid’s lines which see retro style jellies but with Velcro fastenings and you can see they are well made and won’t snap. For the past few years I have bought this same style from Sun Jellies but every year they have snapped really quickly and I only buy them because I like the style so much. I know Crocs won’t snap and without a buckle it makes it super easy for kids to get on and off themselves. They also come in all different shades so Jimmy will be pleased as he loves a green jelly shoe (he calls them crocodile shoes) and I wasn’t able to find any green ones this summer!

Take a look at everything else…
