It’s nearly that time of year again! The Easter Bunny is due to make an appearance soon, the children will be off school and chocolate is going to be in plentiful supply!
I love celebrating Easter, not because I am particularly religious but just because I love an excuse to get festive and have some fun with the little ones. Florence loves the Easter egg hunt so much that at other times of the year like Halloween, we have to do a similar style hunt!
Last year she got SO much chocolate that it was a bit obscene and if I’m honest, we’ve still got some lying around uneaten… I want to do the hunt a little differently this year so that we’re not overloaded with the sweet stuff! I thought that instead of going completely over board with chocolate we could be put some money (which will go towards her ballet and tap lessons) inside bright fillable egg cases from Asda. They’re only a pound a pack and we can re-use them next year too! This way, Florence gets all the fun of the hunt without being overloaded by chocolate! Don’t worry though, I’m not a meanie, she will still get a fair amount!
Because you can fill them with whatever you like, we might even do a few hunts over the fortnight. I’m thinking it would be really cool on wet days to fill them up with clues and hide them round the house for a little treasure hunt! What a brilliant buy!
As the supermarket shop is the one we do most then I imagine our Easter treats will be bought from there! I got this great bunting the other day and I’ll be picking up more bits every time we go. The bunting is only a pound just like the eggs so it doesn’t break the bank but definitely will jive things up a bit for the bunny!
Easter is a great time for all the family to get together, we’ll be visiting ours and having lovely meals together (I might even cook a few myself)! The cost could add up which is why I have to be savvy in my shopping. Asda is really affordable and means we can have novelty festive bits where otherwise we might not.
Happy getting ready for Easter Everyone!
