Everyone loves a bit of fancy dress but when it comes to the art I find we usually fall into two camps. There’s those of us who embrace it in every way, make our own costumes and don’t mind looking like a bit of a wally and there’s those of us (me) who prefer to buy their costumes and absolutely make sure that they still look as nice as possible when wearing them. I’ve gone to Halloween parties dressed as a witch before but there were no warts or green faces on me! No, siree! I love that others can do the whole dress up and look ridiculous thing but I just don’t want to do it myself!
When it comes to the children I think mine are very firmly in my camp about the whole thing too. Florence rarely wants to be dressed up as a character that isn’t pretty and I can’t see Jimmy letting me put him in something really awful either! I HAVE inflicted the home-made numbers on them on occasion but it has to be stated, they clearly prefer the ones which are bought! I don’t blame them either as kid’s costumes are SO good these days!
I think I may have found the best fancy dress costume ever thoguh in Tickled Pink Fancy Dress‘s ride In costumes! Wow, they’re absolutely AWESOME! We were sent a dragon and both of mine have been running around flapping the wings and pretending to breath fire! It’s SO cool!
The Ride In Dragon costs £27.99 and comes with adjustable straps and loops to pop over your child’s wrists so that they can move the wings. He also has a loop to control the head and is very eye catching! He’s big, I warn you but looks amazing and will be brilliant for fancy dress days at school.
He’s super soft and velvety and has a great little character about his face. He’s also made of really lovely material which feels very expensive and I think he will be a lasting fixture in our dressing up box for sure! He can be worn over clothes and is suitable for children over the age of 3! FABULOUS!
We were sent a TP Fancy Dress Ride In Dragon costume for the purpose of an honest review.
