On The Farm With Shaun The Sheep – Literally!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

I’m running a competition to win the new Shaun The Sheep DVD ‘Spring Cleaning’ on my blog at the moment. You can enter here!

I can absolutely assure you it is well worth a watch! We were sent a copy and we love it, in fact, as I type it is on the television and both Florence and Jimmy are giggling away!

On Saturday the people from Shaun The Sheep treated us to even more Shaun fun and invited us to Mudchute Farm for a day of farm life, cake eating and even building our own Shaun with the help of a real life Aardman animator! They even had hay bales for us to sit and watch the DVD on, it was awesome!

Firstly I have to say that I had no idea Mudchute Farm was SO good! I’ve been to the City Farm near my house where all the animals look a bit sad and depressed and kind of assumed they’d all be like this but Mudchute is AMAZING! It’s huge for a start and the animals all have loads of space, they all look happy and it really feels like you’re in the heart of the countryside. It’s only when you look up and see the buildings of Canary Wharf as the back drop that you realise you are in central London!

We had an ace time looking round the farm with Farmer Nick and even got to meet face to face, not behind the fence, some sheep!

Jimmy and his pal James who belongs to Kip and Lozzie found great fun in sticks. As boys do!

As well as enjoying cake, seeing baby chicks and watching Shaun The Sheep in his new DVD ‘Spring Cleaning’!

We had an ace day on the farm but without doubt, the best part of the day was getting to make a Shaun The Sheep with a ‘claymation’ expert and veteran of the Aardman Animations team! This chap took us step by step through making Shaun and in between told us some of the things he’s worked on which very impressively to us included ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists!’ which is one of our favourites, as well as Shaun The Sheep of course!

Take a look at how we made our very own Shaun!

We had a lovely day and can highly recommend both the farm and the DVD! Thanks everyone from Shaun The Sheep for a brilliant Saturday of fun!

I was invited along to the event to find out more about the new Shaun The Sheep DVD ‘Spring Cleaning’ which is released 7th April 2014.
