HOW are we Half way through the academic year?! Crazy, crazy how time just evaporates isn’t it but here we are with Raffie half way through reception, Florence half way through year 8, Posie having just turned two and our star of the moment Jimmy half way through his final year at primary school. Star of the moment because we found out on the first day of the holidays that he got his place at the same high school as Florence! We are beyond proud of him. He did this all on his own, having a sister at the school hasn’t coasted him, he’s done this just being Jimmy! Exams and interviews and boy, oh boy, oh boy has he seized an opportunity! Well done our Jimmy!
We ploughed into half term with fun on the agenda from the off. I went to see Newsies with my friend Anna on the first day while Gram and Daddy treated the kiddos to McDonalds and a party was on the agenda for Florence. Sunday was football and rest time for the big two while I took the tiny two to Roarr, Monday Flobo went to London with a friend for her friend’s birthday treat while the rest of us took a trip to Wroxham Barns, Tuesday was Valentine’s Day and we went to Pensthorpe before football for the boys and a sleepover with his cousin for Jimmy, Wednesday was more fun for me and the little ones back at Roarr while Jonny worked and the big ones rested, Thursday we had a press event to attend at Center Parcs in Woburn, Friday we saw besties and Jimmy had time with his friends and another sleepover, Saturday Florence had a party to run her glitter bar at and for the last day we rested and enjoyed each other’s company while the party girl went to yet another celebration for a pal – she’s party central is Florence, either attending them or working at them!
Great week off and here’s our best bits recorded for posterity which we will also be using as part of a book we can keep and see at home. I love photobooks, nothing like recording your best bits with one to treasure!
My friend Anna and I at Newsies! Sunday was a day for Roarr with the little two while Florence had a rest and Jimmy had a football tournament! Of course the wagon was busted out! Being half term the cars were in action! Raffie was VERY pleased about this! This is his second best bit after the theatre show! Off he went! Roarr-ing around Roarr!With Posie in tow! These two!They are so in cahoots these days! It is LOVELY to see!And they get on so well! Posie giving me smiles!And loving the Roarr playground! Such a sweet peach!Then back in the wagon for home after only a few mins in soft play because I’d not realised they close half an hour before the park does! It was home for a Chinese takeaway, cans of Cola and donuts to celebrate Jimmy’s news! We are SO proud of him! Monday Florence went to London with her friend and her friend’s parents and it was off to Wroxham Barns for us! We met up with the Cookie Crumbles gang while there! Cookie and me! Posie and her tractor!Water fight! Fight, fight, fight!Think the boys won! Besties! They had a great day! Not sure Cookie had quite as much fun! We saw an actual lamb be born!With spectacular company!We love Wroxham Barns! More besties! What a gang!These two! Valentine’s Day set up for my loves!Just a tiny bit of chocolate! Words of love! Breakfast pastries to go with the chocolates! And then onto Pemsthorpe with cousins minus Florence who went out on two sleepovers in a row! Valentine’s Galentine’s sleepover with pals! Definitely a kiddo missing in the line up! Snow drops!Sand and mud!And the most glorious weather!Beautiful Pensthorpe and my beautiful boy! What a fun day! No coats!Lots of running wild!There’s that gap again – I don’t like it when one is otherwise engaged! But she was having fun with friends!Then while Florence recovered from her double sleepover and Jimmy recovered from a sleepover with his cousin after the football on Valentine’s Day evening, Jonny did some school work and the little to, Gram and I went back to Roarr again! Well, we do love it!Raffie loves it most though! A d had a whale of a time meeting the new T-Rex resident at Roarr!Me and my tiny gang! Thursday we headed to Woburn for a press event at Center Parcs! Where we got to spend the whole day having fun! And randomly bumped into a friend from London who we’ve not seen since Florence was in Year One in the same class!Love a press event! The event was fantastic! A party to celebrate the UK launch of Wonderfold! The kiddos were super entertained!And then we got to swim! SO much fun!
As you can see from my Instagram post! We felt like we were on holiday! Center Parcs fun! Brilliant and in our jarmies for the ride home! Then a slow day with besties at the Challenge Woods! Saturday supermarket! Jobs have to be done but they can be fun! Posie Is the dinkiest dot! As proven by her ability to be carried around the supermarket in a shopping basket! We also realised Saturday that for the first day back it’s fairytale day at school! The gingerbread man…Or Alladin?! Time for a bike ride! While Jimmy played football ww went to the park!These two! She will be super lonely when they all go back to school! Bit that’s a half term wrap!
And as we went to bed on the last night if the holidays we were given a surprise by Jimmy who’d made our bed perfectly and left us a note to say he loves us! What a charmer!
Roll on Easter when I’ll have my little lobes at home for a fortnight!
