Fuel for Family Life and Sport: Why We Love Naked Energy!

As a family, we are constantly on the go. Between work, school runs, rugby and football training, dance, after school clubs and trying to fit in some swimming exercise of my own, finding ways to support energy levels naturally has become something of a priority. While I have always believed that a balanced diet comes first, I also think there is definitely a place for quality supplements in modern life, especially when life feels as though it’s running at one hundred miles an hour.
I’ve been trying Naked Nutrition’s Naked Energy in Strawberry Lemonade flavour recently and it has quickly become one of those products I find myself reaching for again and again. Before I swim it’s a must and with my perimeno symptoms this has been a gift giver in so many ways. Often I need to exercise but can’t find the energy, don’t and then I get stuck in a red cycle, having a supplement beforehand offers me the power to get to the pool, do my workout and come out feeling ball the better for it, green cycle back on track.
Bit what is Naked Nutrition’s Naked Energy?
First of all, let’s talk about the flavour because that’s often where these sorts of products fall down. Being able to stomach something because it’s good for you is fine, but it’s even better if it actually tastes good and doesn’t feel like an endurance to begin with! I was genuinely surprised by how much I like the Strawberry Lemonade flavour. It tastes like a piquant, refreshing and genuinely delicious drink and is very definitely not something you have to force yourself to drink. The strawberry brings a subtle sweetness while the lemonade element gives it a bright, zingy finish that makes it incredibly easy to drink. First box ticked!
What I particularly like is that it doesn’t feel heavy or overly artificial. Instead, it has a clean taste that feels more like a treat than a supplement, which is probably one of the reasons it has become such a regular part of our routine.
I’ve been using it before swimming and, like I said, have found it really does help me feel more focused and ready to get moving which is that half a battle already won. Naked Nutrition explains that the ingredients are designed to support energy, concentration and physical performance before workouts, and from my experience it certainly seems to deliver on those promises.
The biggest fan in our house, however, is actually my eldest son.

Rugby plays a huge role in his life and he takes both training and match days incredibly seriously. He’s been having Naked Energy before games and insists he notices a difference now that he does. He is so focussed on eating the right things, at the right times and has a whole schedule of what goes in before a match and he says using Naked Energy has made him feel more alert, more switched on and more confident on the pitch. Whether it’s helping him mentally prepare or giving him that extra boost before kick off, it has now become a part of his match day routine and his healthy habits in general. I’m proud of Jimmy as a player for both his school A team and for Norwich Rugby Club, not just because he does well, but because he puts so much into that being the case, including his nutrition.

Naked Nutrition in the UK have a few products I recommend and one to run alongside Naked Energy would be the brand’s Glutamine supplement that I also recently wrote about and was equally impressed by. I use it after workouts as part of my recovery routine (and like I said, perimeno means recovery isn’t as easy as it used to me). Glutamine is naturally found in foods such as eggs, milk and tofu, but taking a supplement is an easy way to make sure you’re getting a consistent amount, especially during busy periods when recovery can sometimes take a back seat.
What I appreciate about Naked Nutrition as a brand is its straightforward approach. The focus is very much on purposeful ingredients without unnecessary fuss, something that feels increasingly refreshing in a crowded wellness market. I don’t know about you, but I am being sold supplements every single time I look at a screen, and how do you know which is good, which is a gimmick and which is even something we need. So do your research and do ask questions, I always do, and know that I have always found Naked Nutrition to be honest and transparent about their products which we have always noticed a difference with them. I have tried lots of collagens for example, ones which have fancy names that promise beauty as their opening gambit. Naked just call theirs collagen, and don’t fluff anything up and yet I probably notice most difference when using their collagen over others. So it’s worth really investigating these things I think!
And do we even need supplements?
Well, the reality is that today’s lifestyles can be demanding. Many of us are juggling careers, family responsibilities, exercise and social commitments all at the same time and like I keep saying, perimeno is trying to kick my behind on top of all the other hormonal fluctuations I am used to as a woman. So, while no supplement is a magic solution, I do think carefully chosen products can help support overall wellbeing and performance when used alongside a healthy lifestyle (and in that camp we could all use a bit of Jimmy’s willpower)!
For me, Naked Energy has become a genuinely enjoyable addition to my day and it has earned a loyal following in our household, particularly from one rugby obsessed older teenager so I have to buy it again now!
Collaboration.
