Half way through the summer holidays?! really?! Time is going too fast. It doesn’t seem five minutes since I picked Florence up and we shouted ‘we’re freeeeeeee!’ and yet somehow half the holiday time has been used up already! The first week was brilliant but I haven’t posted much of what we’ve been up to since then.
We had Camp Bestival where I drove, shaking, all the way to Dorset, pitched a tent and then spent the weekend wearing flowers in our hair and dancing to music with our friends. It was wonderful!
When we came home we just didn’t fancy being in London on our own so we sacked off some press things I had planned, jumped in the car and hot footed it back to Norwich where we’ve been ever since. I never realised the freedom being able to drive gives you. Before I’d have had to book a train in advance to get a cheap fare and we would never, on the spur of the moment, been able to just come up to Norwich to see Gram. It’s making me realise that when we’re back in Norfolk full time it won’t be that much hassle to pop back to London for the day to see friends and that makes me happy!
Since being home we’ve seen friends, been to theme parks, the beach and simply had lots of fun in my Mum’s garden! It’s been wonderful. We’re back to London later on today mores the pity but at least we get to see more friends, go to the theatre, attend Great Grandmother’s birthday party and have fun at home before we get then house ready for my cousin who is coming to house sit while we spend the last part of the summer holidays in Portugal! Oh I can’t wait for Portugal!
The first half of the summer holidays has been fab but the last half is about holidays in the sun and that can’t be bad!
So many of those pictures are from the garden and I can’t wait to have one of my own. We really have been having such a great time in Norfolk and this is just a snap shot, we’ve done so much more! We’ve even been house hunting… I fell in love with a house in the village we most want to live in and the garden is amazing! Watch this space…
