In a couple of month’s time it will be Jimmy’s birthday and i’m busy planning what to do. We will be having a teddy bear’s picnic for his party, a Gruffalo tea party at home for just us and I also want to do a family day out like last year.
Last year we went to Drusillas Park in Alfriston. We were on holiday near by but actually it’s not too bad to get to from London and it was such a great day, such a fab park for little ones, that I really want to go back. I reviewed it here and we often say what a wonderful day it was. Jimmy could run round and didn’t go in the buggy at all, just what he wanted to do, it’s the perfect place for that!
We had such a fun day at Drusillas Park for Jimmy’s birthday last year!
It was the perfect place to celebrate his first birthday with rides, Thomas, animals, Thomas, places to run and parks and more Thomas! We’d love to do his second birthday treat there too but I think I may have to wait and go just after his birthday instead! The reason is because soon they are opening ‘Hello Kitty’s Secret Garden’ within the park and we don’t want to miss it!
Yep, as well as Thomas, Hello Kitty will be a new draw to this already pretty exciting park and we cannot wait! Listen to what they have to say about it:
‘Over the past few months, the Hello Kitty tea cup ride has been carefully constructed at the Zamperla factory in Italy. By the time it arrived at the award-winning zoo in East Sussex the ride had travelled approximately 900 miles; the installation took 5 days and was overseen by a technician from Zamperla.
A second ‘reach for the sky’ hopper ride will also be fitted by Zamperla shortly. This will be followed by a Hello Kitty car ride manufactured in Germany by Metallbau-Emmeln; the company who designed and built the hugely popular Thomas the Tank Engine for Drusillas.
Drusillas has always been a mixture of animals and attractions. The popular family day out is enjoyed by all ages and attracts over 350,000 visitors a year.
Partnering with the UK’s number one girls’ brand represents the Park’s single biggest investment to date and is expected to top £1million. The deal was completed with Japanese company Sanrio in 2013 and Drusillas will now be home to the first permanent Hello Kitty attraction in Europe.’
Sounds pretty exciting doesn’t it! I can’t wait to go back but we’re DEFINITELY going when Hello Kitty is there! Florence loves her and Jimmy is so sweet when he calls her Kitty Cat!
The new Hello Kitty tea cup ride!
I have not been paid for this post.
