It’s A/W-Some at Regatta For 2014!

I’ve never really been the outdoorsy type of gal. There have been fleeting visits to the camping world when I was in my teens and Jonny and I attempted it once in a very unsuitable one lined tent which fell to pieces the moment it was up but mainly I’m a luxury type of holidayer.

However, since having children, with finances being stretched and with their desire to try it, we have dipped our toes into the world of glamping for a taster of the life outdoors. And I have to say I’ve loved it.

We went and stayed in a forest pod in Norfolk when Florence was tiny and it was simply beautiful. Helped with the weather which was gloriously out of the ordinary for April we started to think staycations might be the way forward. But… I wasn’t ready for a tent…

We moved on to caravans and have had some very successful trips with varying weather and I have found that perhaps the day of a tent holiday may be coming soon for us. Sure you don’t have a bathroom or kitchen to yourself but some of the tents I’ve been looking at recently seem more palatial than our house so with some cajoling (Florence and Jonny are desperate to be at one with nature) I have agreed to give it a go.

The invite to come and see the Regatta A/W line couldn’t have come at a better time then and I was extremely interested to see what type of clothes they are offering for this year! If I’m going to camp then it’s definitely going to be glam – boring and practical are not my thing I’m afraid! I appreciate I will need the practical but I also need it to look good!

I was thrilled with what they have to show for later on in the year. It’s lovely to go camping in warm weather but of course we in Blighty know we can’t rely on that and it was good to see they had every base covered while still, yes I can confirm, looking ace!

I liked so much but for children:

The jackets and wellies were very cool but the best things were the little paddle suits! I loved the penguin and fox! Super warm with a fleece lining and adorable to boot! Just up my street! At £30 this is a brilliant investment especially since they are unisex! I would like to get Florence the penguin and Jimmy the little fox and then I could use the penguin all over again when Jimmy gets bigger! I showed my pictures to the children and they were totally smitten too!

They also do some excellent items for school, jackets and the like which will come in handy for September!

Kids Regatta is super cute!

And for the adults:

I was super impressed here too! I was bought Hunter wellies at Christmas which wore a hole in just a few short weeks. They were the best part of a hundred quid, supposed to last a life time and were ruined simply by use… Not good! The Regatta wellies and boots were just as attractive but a fraction of the price at around £30 and I bet they last more than a bit longer too! I would still choose boring black I’m afraid (I’m not very boot adventurous) but they did have some ace little shoe wellies and furry boots all with fab patterns!

Wellies!

And then there are the clothes! I actually found loads of things I would just wear. Not for camping but just every day! In particular a black jacket caught my eye! And I saw loads for Jonny too! I knew he’d love it so I showed him some of the pictures when I got home and sure enough he was rather keen on the jackets in the point 214 collection! What I really ike are the prices which don’t seem to match the quality and look at all! Everything looks like it would be far more expensive than it actually is!

Fashion for the grown ups!

Regatta have a few different collections but all of them affordable. They do range in price from very low to a little bit higher but all the price points seem very reasonable to me! They have have had a bit of a re-brand recently and along with a new logo showing the Regatta ‘R’ on its side to cleverly show their clothes can take you on a calm walk on the flat, over a bump and then up a hill they have been really focussing on fashion and aswell as function!

They’ve done a good job and I’m very impressed! If I have to go camping then I definitely want to be wearing Regatta and actually, I’d probably just wear it all winter too!

Thanks for the inspiration Regatta!

I was invited to come and see the new Regatta collection for Autumn/Winter 2014.
