At the weekend the children and I were invited to a launch party for the new Lalaloopsy Super Silly Party Dance With Me Doll; Florence, in particular, was thrilled! She’s long been a fan of Lalaloopsy, the modern day rag dolls who all have an individual tale of where they came from and as she’s had her eye on some of the latest releases I knew this would be a mega hit in her eyes!
She’s ALREADY started making plans for her Christmas and birthday lists and Lalaloopsy features quite heavily. There’s a new one with a nappy that has been top of her list for a few weeks now and when she saw the advert for the latest ‘Dance With Me’ doll she swiftly added that too!
The adverts had just started showing this particular one and Florence’s eyes lit up when she realised she’d be one of the first people to get to play with one. She had no idea that as well as playing with the dolls at the party, she’d actually get to bring one home so the day was a HUGE treat!
The children had so much fun at the party, although to be fair Jimmy was more interested in pulling faces at himself in the mirrors after he was face painted up like Spiderman, and along with Carolynne from Mummy Endeavours’s little girl, they had great fun joining in with the dance classes laid on for them as the party was held at none other than the world famous Pineapple Studios – sadly Louie Spence was nowhere to be seen…
They got to play games, have their faces painted, eat party food, dance like no one was watching and above all, got to play with ALL the new lalaloopsy toys! There’s a bead making set with teeny tiny (tinies) Lalaloopsy dolls going around a ferris wheel and lots of lovely dolls, including the star of the show, Dance With Me Lalaloopsy!
Peanut Big Top™ is ready for her best performance yet as she sings and dances with you! She comes with a magical bow so that Peanut can recognise your movements; when you dance fast, she dances fast and when you dance slow, she does the same. She also has three play modes, will play Freeze Dance and Dance and Sing giving little performers the chance to dance and sing with Peanut as she teaches them step-by-step. Including three songs, eight dance moves and over 90 phrases, the Lalaloopsy™ Dance with Me doll will keep little ones entertained with silly, imaginative play for hours. I don’t know any little girl who isn’t a fan. I spoke to some friends at a birthday party this weekend and everyone said their little girls LOVE Lalaloopsy too!
Florence and Jimmy had a great time at the party and had lots of fun playing with all the new Lalaloopsy toys. As I mentioned before, Florence also got to bring one home – lucky girl! She did her own very special review of the party and of the doll on her YouTube channel Florence’s Toy Box. You can see her review by clicking on the link here!
She’s been very impressed with it so far although I have to say it was blimmin’ difficult getting her out of the box. I needed to get my tool box out – seriously – cut my hand on the plastic and I STILL can’t get one of the screws to undo on the remote control bow so we haven’t tried that part of the doll out yet. My recommendation if buying for a present is to get her out of the box BEFORE you hit the sherry on Christmas Eve and be patient, it’s worth the wait!
We also have some special Lalalooopsy news because we’ve just accepted an important Lalaloopsy role. We’re going to be Lalaloopsy ambassadors so you’ll be seeing a fair amount more of the cute ragdolls who come to life when their last stitch is sewn! Watch this space!
The Lalaloopsy™ Dance with Me doll is priced RRP around £59.99 and available at all good toy stores. You can find out more at here.
We went to the launch party for the Dance With Me Lalaloopsy doll and were asked if we could take one home and write an honest review.
