We were Lollibop 2014 ambassadors for the blog and we had such a great time on Friday when we visited that we decided we were going to go back for the Sunday too! I wrote about our first day at the festival here and also about how much we enjoyed Tikes Town which may have been just a small pat of the festival but was a favourite with us both last year and this!
We had a more chilled out day, not worrying about seeing everything as we had already been and for this I think we felt even more relaxed in the chilled out vibe of the festival. I can’t believe it but it’s true, even though this is a children’s festival, it was so calm!
We had a chilled Sunday mooching around the festival. Eating Churros in the Pom Bear picnic area was a must, making and crafting was high on the agenda and seeing real live baby ducks was beautiful!
We re-visited some of our favourites again yesterday, like Tikes Town of course and the absolute tip top favourite of both days for Florence, the River Island Design Den. I think I’m going to have to buy a mass of T.Shirts and fabric pens because she thought this was simply the most wonderful thing to do and had to be given nudges to leave at the end of each of her sessions! It was a bit of a shame that they had one truly unpleasant member of staff who seemed clearly to have come to the end of his tether by last thing on Sunday but even that didn’t deter our fun (and everyone else in the tent was super lovely it has to be said)!
Florence loved making and crafting, Jimmy enjoyed being with Daddy at the shows and we all just had a great time in each others company whilst bumping into many of our friends from both home and the blogging world!
We danced, we laughed, we giggled and we spent time being a family which we so enjoyed. We took Daddy along for Sunday and this meant also that we could split up and the children could both do activities best suited to them while not having to compromise any of their time for each other! Jonny took Florence to Horrible Histories while Jimmy and I saw Mr Bloom. Jimmy also got to see Mr Tumble while Florence crafted away in the Wizard School and when Jimmy went to Postman Pat she was busily icing biscuits in the Lolli Kitchen! We did come together of course and Steffi Love at the beginning of the day was a real highlight! I’m not sure if Florence realises this little popster also has a doll! She will be very interested when she finds out!
Steffi Love at the beginning of the day was something Florence thought was AMAZING!
We saw Steffi Love in the queue for the ice cream and Florence was very excited to but too shy to ask for a picture. She definitely loved meeting the stars in the proper ‘meet and greet’ area though! As did Jimmy who got to go and meet his favourites Chris and Pui again – we also got to meet them on Friday!
Meeting the stars of Lollibop!
lollibop 2014 was an absolute triumph in the best venue it’s been held at yet!
