We Want To Be Mark Warner Ambassadors!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

This year I’ve watched social media with envy every time one of the Mark Warner blogging ambassadors jets off to one of their delicious sounding holiday destinations. I’ve read their sun drenched post holiday reports and devoured all the foodie, swimming pool, beach, sunshine and cocktail Instagram updates wishing I too could take my family on such a break. They look, sound and ARE it seems, the most decadent and hassle free family holidays going!

I want one, and I bet you do too now!

As a result of my holiday yearnings I have even switched my ‘can’t sleep’ game from ‘What would I do if I won the lottery?’ to ‘Where would I go if I won a Mark Warner holiday’? Try it, it’s brilliant! Doesn’t help much with the getting back to sleep as I frequently reach out a hand for my phone to look at the resorts and thus wake myself up further but it ain’t half time pleasing!

I of course applied to be an ambassador last year when the programme was launched and then, as I wasn’t picked, I also joined in with the quarterly challenges set by Mark Warner for another blogger to win a holiday. I even won the first challenge and am keeping everything crossed that once the final challenge is over and our names are put in a hat it might just be us who wins! But just in case it’s not (and let’s face it, there’s a few of us in the running) I am hereby entering the 2015 blogging ambassador challenge too!

So, here goes and first up let me introduce you to us. The Rock ‘n’ Roller Babies!

We're called Rock 'n' Roller Baby because Daddy is a musician!

And the rest of us just like pretending to be!

This is me. Someone called me an earth mother once and it made me laugh! I think silly things like lions are the boys and tigers are the girls and that it's 'Customs and Exiles'. The rest of my family like to tell people the silly things I've said! I'm an actress and a drama queen (which is good because they go hand in hand)!

Jonny was a skinny jeaned rocker when I met him and now he's all grown up he's doing a degree to be a teacher. And he plays anything that is possible to be played, like pieces of grass as he is here!

My Florence. Also goes by the name of Flobo, Bobo, Bobobaggins and Baglet! She's super bright and super kind and super gorgeous, as we say in the performing trade, she's a triple threat!

Our little Jim-Star! We called him Jimmy so that I could call him Jim-Bob (I LOVE The Waltons) but I wasn't allowed to call him that for real! (HE'S SUCH a Jim-Bob though). He likes sticks and his favourite thing to say is 'What's that nooooise?'

And then we also have a very special member of the fam who goes by the name of Gram. My Mum, brilliant birthday cake maker (takes directions VERY well!), Pru Leith lookalike, nutty as they come and all round star! We very rarely travel without her and think everyone should have one!

My Mum! Gram! Salt of the flipping earth she is!

So that’s the family, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Babies, the crew I think of when I am dreaming about the Mark Warner Holiday (and sometimes the lottery too because, well, you know, then we could go on hundreds of MW specials) and we really, really, REALLY want to be 2015 Mark Warner ambassadors!

To enter I have to tell you about our perfect holiday, so here goes!

Perfection will be getting to spend time together, smiling, laughing and having the most brilliant fun. Perfection will be seeing another country (and we none of us have been to some of the destinations MW have on offer so even better)! Perfection will be playing cards, downing tools, skipping in the sea, travelling to see local life, reading books to ourselves and each other, having some ‘me’ time (not just ME of course) while the children play in the creche, treating my Mum instead of her treating us all the time and watching the children enjoy every single second.

Perfection, our perfection is not complicated, it’s just us together really. On a REALLY sunny beach of course!

Us on the sand with Gram too and me getting to wear summer shoes - PERFECTION!

We want to be picked for lots of reasons but one really simple one is that the UK is cold and all shades of rain at the moment and we absolutely want to look forward to some sun! MW do skiing holidays too but it’s the sunshine promise that keeps us going in winter (you can’t be very rock ‘n’ roll with cold finger tips you see)! I mean really, look at this little video of us over the last couple of weeks… This little coat brigade are screaming out for some vitamin D!

This is my entry into the Mark Warner Ambassador Programme for 2015. See here how to enter.
