It’s National Picnic Week With Warburtons!

That’s right, the sun is out and the parks near us are fit to bursting with happy faces; it couldn’t be a better week to be deemed ‘National Picnic Week’! We are regular picnic fans even when it’s not a dedicated special week so of course, we have got well and truly stuck into picnic mode now that it is!

In order to celebrate we took a picnic to our local park with a gorgeous hamper sent to us by Warburtons. We are massively keen on their sandwich thins and as of June 15th they are selling them in shaped versions! You can pick up a pack of sandwich thins shaped like either cats or vans in Asda and Waitrose at the moment but soon other retailers will stock them too. They’re pre-sliced just like the rest of their ‘thins range’ and they taste just as yummy! We made up some sandwich thins with their shapes for our picnic and the children thought they were brilliant fun!

We packed up the hamper with the picnic blanket and some toys that Warburtons sent to us and added some other picnic food. I made some home-made sausage rolls and a strawberry roulade and off we went!

I have a new oven and slightly burned the sausage rolls, luckily children don't care too much about that!

Strawberry roulade with a fatless sponge! LOVE this recipe which is a Gordon Ramsay one I've used for ages!

We had a fab picnic in the park and the sandwich thins shapes went down VERY well indeed!

So! That was our picnic for National Picnic week which was made all the better for the Warburtons Sandwich Thins Shapes! We do love a bit of novelty food and it’s even better when it’s something that’s actually really healthy and yummy too!

Well done Warburtons!

We worked with Warburtons to create this post.
