Pensthorpe Pumpkin Festival!
From the 25th of October until the 3rd of November, for the whole of a Norfolk half term, Pensthorpe is celebrating all things spooky season with its brand new pumpkin festival! Though the clever chaps at our family fave, Pensthorpe, have been offering pumpkins and a carving station during Halloween week for a few years, their new pumpkin patch is a first for the 2024 season for them, and we, in turn, got to be some of the first people to see it!
With a pumpkin for every paying child (more can be bought separately), the all inclusive ticket price (£16.95 for a child over the age of 3) leaves you knowing exactly where you are and from picking your pumpkin (with many sizes, colours and shapes to choose from), to carving it in their tent if you so wish (or bringing it home like we did), Pensthorpe have thought of everything!
Also for half term they have a selection of locally made scarecrows competing in a competition which you can vote for your favourite in, crafting, and a slime trail which is lots of fun. This is all on top of their usual offerings including den building, flamingo visiting, nature walking and playing in the extensive indoor and outdoor play areas!
We love Pensthorpe all year round and they’ve really stepped up for spooky season – we thought the photo stations were awesome and pumpkin bowling was BRILLIANT – so simple but so much fun!
Also coming up is Christmas at Pensthorpe which always gets very booked up – always enchanting and high up on our recommendations list so that’s something to look out for when half term is over!
Thanks for having us again guys, we’ll be back soon – if only for the yummy chips in the restaurant!
