Polarn O. Pyret – A/W 2013!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

I love to photograph clothes. I don’t know why but it seems to sit well with me so some of my most favourite posts to write are fashion ones. I just love to try and make clothes look beautiful and I do my best to picture them in imaginative and interesting ways. Some clothes don’t need a lot of help… Some clothes just are beautiful no matter how you capture them. The clothes speak for themselves if you will…

Polarn O. Pyret are a brand where no matter what items you pick up you just know they will look good in a picture. They look good in pictures because they look good in real life. They are well made, built to last in fact, and the material is always of fabulous quality. If you go into a PO.P shop and feel the fabrics you will see how soft they are to the touch and how well they are stitched. In practice when using them they last for wash after wash and continue to look immaculate. I have talked often of this fact and have never, not ever, had a garment for my children that I haven’t used for two years running. As well as washing well they just seem to keep on fitting! They often have adjustable waists and roll down cuffs which makes them have a durability so well thought out that I just can’t believe more people haven’t copied!

They look classy too and from even the smallest socks you can always tell a PO.P garment! They have a signature look and the stripes and patterns they use are now synonymous with the brand.

We were sent an Autumn/Winter outfit for both of the children and yet again I am bowled over with the luxury of the fabrics and the aesthetics of the designs. The children look amazing in their outfits – I hope you like the photographs!

Florence was sent the Fine Knit Little Bow Dress (currently £13 sale price) and Knee Patch Tights (currently £6 sale price) in a coordinating colour. They are both beautiful, warm and soft to the touch. The tights come high above her waist and do not ride down (I always find this with PO.P tights) while the dress would look good worn long as she has it or short for a taller girl.

Jimmy was sent the Baby Hoodie (£23.00) and Matching Baby Jogger Trousers (£17.50). These two are both so warm and snuggly with soft fluffy material on the inside! Perfect for a baby on the move like Jimmy and so hard wearing. The trousers have the all important draw string too which means they can be adjusted for waist sizes.

I have not been paid to write this post but I was sent two outfits from the range for the purpose of review.
