Posie’s Honeybee Themed First Birthday Party!

Posie’s Honeybee Themed First Birthday Party!

Posie Pamela Honeybee turned one last week and of course and as always when it comes to me and parties, we had many celebrations which were honeybee themed! An afternoon tea for friends, another for family and a celebration on the day which also had lots of honeybee elements to it! Here’s what we got up to celebrating Posie turning one with all the Honeybee love!

Afternoon tea for friends!
The honeybee plates, cups and napkins are from Home Bargains!
While the honeybee and flower cupcakes were made by Gram!
The honeybee table cloth is from Habitat at Sainsbury’s!
The mismatched china has been collected over the years from charity shops while the carafes are from IKEA and my vase is from Oliver Bonas!
This cake stand is my Mum’s and perfect for holding scones, macarons and chocolate dipped strawberries! I served with bowls of strawberry jam, butter and clotted cream!
I always like to make interesting milk shakes using my milkshake bottles which were a special buy in Aldi. I do so many different versions, all easy and all just with shop bought flavoured milk. The fancier you make the bottles, the more the kids love them!
Babies had some baby food!
A toddler grazing board!
Friends!
Me and my Honeybee girl!
She enjoyed her first party very much!
And I loved giving little goodie bags with honeybee attracting flower seeds, glow sticks for a disco bath and a bath bomb for the Mums!
Actual birthday day for presents!
This was the main thing we bought Posie to go with the hand me down Moover pram from her sister. A baby Dozy Dinkum (pink is called Moppet) from Ollie Ella! I found it cheapest at One Hundred Toys where it was about £8 off the RRP. They come in all different colours and skin tones and are just gorgeous!
Posie just loved the Moover pram, even though it is a hand me down!
You can buy the Moover pram from Hippychick in the UK and as you can see, they last. Florence had this and it has been bashed about, in need of a glue and very definitely needs a paint (which I will do at some point) but there’s plenty of play left to be had in it so now Posie will love it too!
And pottery painting for the activity at Dotty Pottery in Norwich!
Honeybee footprints!
With more little bees to decorate hand prints!
Posie’s crown and wand are from a small business called Rosie Posie’s Hand Made. The crown was £10 and the wand £8 and they came in record time! Something to keep for all birthdays and so aptly named for us!
Little gold pram shoes from Clarks!
To match a beautiful Monsoon dress for party day number 2!
This time for family!
Another day, another afternoon tea party!
Wand of dreams!
The balloon arch costs £4.99 in Home Bargains as opposed to a similar one I’ve seen in John Lewis which is £20!
The wands are also from Home Bargains!
This cake stand is from Oliver Bonas and is super heavy, I love it!
I got it in the sale for £32, less than half price, and will use it a lot!
I served water in a giant Kilner drinks dispenser and infused it with cucumber and lemons!
A very similar set up to party number one!
With added home made cheese scones!
And another children’s grazing platter!
This time I added little meringue kisses!
And really souped up the milk shake bottles by sticking on loads more chocolates and sweets with melted chocolate!
Another Gram cake of dreams and she made it perfectly!
Isn’t she clever! She followed this Cakes By Carrieanne tutorial!
Adjustment of the crown!
Blowing out the candles!
Another super special party for my Honeybee girl!
The cake and the Gram behind it!
Granny and Papa!
Big sister!
Cousin and one big brother!
Another big brother!
Enjoying lunch!
And those pretty honeybees!
So sweet!
Perfect to hold and eat!
Watching the crazy gang play outside!
More party favours!
