I have never been to Britmum’s before. Last year I didn’t really think too much about it and it was only when I heard how great it was that I thought I’d really like to go this year. So many of my friends and blogging colleagues have told me of the benefits to attending, how much they learned and let’s face it, what a giggle they’d had! I couldn’t afford to buy a ticket of my own but have been hoping one of the lovely brands I work with would want to sponsor me. And guess what?! One does! And it’s one I LOVE!
I am so thrilled to announce I will be attending Britmums with Sudocrem sponsoring me. I have worked with them many times and they’re lovely people with a product which sells itself. Who hasn’t heard of them? Who hasn’t bought their products? Its an absolute staple of any baby bag and come summer I think their sun cream mousse is just as hot on the fingertips of us Mammas as their regular cream! I am very proud that they are backing me, it makes me feel very special! I am also super pleased to be able to tell everyone about their new product, Sudocrem Care and Protect!
Sudocrem Care and Protect is an innovative new nappy rash ointment, designed specifically for babies that offers TRIPLE PROTECTION against the causes of nappy rash by 1. Creating a protective barrier 2. Conditioning the skin and 3. Guarding against infection. It also comes in a handy squeezey tube! I’ll tell you more about it later! And at Britmums, if you come and say hi (I know Sudocrem are really keen to build relationships with more lovely bloggers) I am very happy to pass on over your details and tell you more about their projects. They will even be holding a Twitter competition while I’m at Britmums to win a Kindle Fire! See, told you they were lovely people!
So… My first time at Britmums! I suppose I’d better tell you a bit about myself so you know more about me. I’ve been reading everyone’s introductions and have copied and pasted the same questions with my answers below! Hope to say hi in June!
Name: Ruth.
Blog: Rock ‘n’ Roller Baby.
Twitter ID: @Rocknrollerbaby.
Height: 5ft 2 (and a half)!
Hair: Long, dirty blonde (my way of trying not to accept brown without it costing a fortune) and a bit wavy.
Eyes: Blue.
Me!
Is this your first blogging conference? Yes, as I mentioned above, I’ve never been to Britmums but I’ve never been to any other conferences either.
Are you attending both days? Yes I will be. I’m even staying over night at The Hoxton! Fun and drinks in the evening anyone?
What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2014? I am looking forward to really learning something for my blog. I’m going to take advice from other bloggers and only attend the things REALLY important to me and my blog so that I don’t get over loaded and can concentrate on the things most useful to me. I’m also looking forward to seeing my pals and having a full night’s uninterrupted sleep!
Perhaps a beverage with these lovely ladies, Alice from An Essex Wife and Katy from Modern Mummy also makes my list of things I’m looking forward to… We do it all the time actually but it’s always something to look forward! Blogging has brought me friendship amongst other things and these girls are two of my besties now! I am looking forward to hanging out with so many other friends, especially Emily from Family Four Fun and Jennie from Edspire. Both are great pals of mine but we don’t see each other very often unfortunately!
What are you wearing?
In the day time I shall be wearing my Sudocrem T Shirt! Proudly! I might customise it a bit with a knot at the bottom as it’s a bit big but that’s what I’ll have on! I haven’t chosen anything for the evening yet but it WILL involve heels! I spend all my life in Uggs or flip flops so for an evening out I’m glamming it!
What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2014?
I want to find out ways to improve my blog, meet new people, meet up with people I already know and drink it all in. I want to experience all the fun I read about in everyone’s posts from last year!
Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?
Well, obviously not but I’m a Londoner and know the area where the conference is so if you get stuck with navigation or tube bewilderment then send me a Tweet and I can try and help you out! 🙂
Sudocrem are sponsoring me for the Britmums conference.
Woooo hoooo can’t wait to see you there
Great news Ruth! Yay to Sudocrem. Staying at the Hoxton also, with AK! So see you there! 😉 x
It’s my first time too Ruth- look forward to seeing you and catching up as you have been so helpful to a newbie like me. At least I know what you will be wearing so you should be easy to spot. I may well be staying at The Hoxton too!
See you soon x
