Summer Holidays 2021 – Week Five!

Another packed week which kicked off with my niece’s birthday, moved into a trip to London to see our gang and attend some press events, followed into camping with the cousins and ended somehow knowing we have just one week left of all of us at home together. Jonny and Florence start their new years on the 1st of September while the boys are still mine until the 6th and somehow it doesn’t feel quite right that the gang is going to be in different camps. 6 weeks isn’t really long enough I don’t think and so to only have one week of the summer left feels a bit miserable. This is why we have booked our holiday for next summer already. I need things to look forward to with the kiddos off school so am thoroughly looking to the next lot of breaks and trying not to focus on the fact this one is nearly over… One more week I keep telling myself and I’d ordinarily be extatic to have them off if it was a half term thinking we were just at the beginning of a holiday so really I should be that glass half full kind of girl instead of the glass half empty at nearly the end of the summer holidays. So I will be! The last week was awesome and we will make the next week count too! Bring it on!

My niece Rose turned five to kick off the week!
A BBQ at friend’s!
My sister and her boyfriend came to pick Florence up!
To take her back to theirs and make her feel super special!
She loved it so much and came back to us the next day having turned 20 years old too!
We stayed at a Premiere Inn then went on the cable car in the morning which was utterly terrifying!
They liked it. I did not and Florence would have hated it!
The next mode of transport was a boat, far more acceptable!
Posie on a boat for the first time!
Once reunited we went to the Art of Banksy exhibition in Covent Garden!
Really good fun!
Lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe!
Walking accross the glass walkway over Tower Bridge!
Then camping!
Where baby led weaning is less messy!
The sun did show its face occasionally!
Cromer shone regardless!
Jimmy wore his full England kit pretty much the whole time and played football constantly with his cousin and all the other kids camping!
More al fresco baby led weaning!
The camp site we go to has a pool!
Which we loved!
And spent a lot of time in it!
Not just football!
As you can see!
Lots of fun!
All that fresh air!
More swimming!
Cosy nights in the tent!
And all of us together just as i like it before this one has to go to school before anyone else!
