Second week and we are well in the swing with a weekend family BBQ with Jonny’s family, some shopping for holiday, a little bit of rest and relaxation (I don’t allow down time often, ha ha) and a LOT of time at the beach! Jimmy had football camp Monday to Friday and Florence signed up for surf academy in Cromer meaning it was daily trips to the beach for us. Fine with me as you know I love the seaside and we maximised being in Cromer with trips to the zoo for the little two, and jaunts to the other Cromer museums too. Gram took Florence on the train one day giving me a rest from driving in and we took the opportunity to visit the zoo with pals who have season passes and were allowed to bring a guest for free – winning! Essentially though, it was beach for the majority and crabs were caught, crabs were bought, sunshine moments of beach freedom was had and surf was enjoyed (as was football in Norwich)! The boys also all went to a cup game ahead of the season start next weekend and we got ready for camping (more Cromer – you can never have too much) to kick off our week three!
All the cousins! And a Granny photo bomber! Our week of beach began with Raffie under the weather at Gram’s and Jimmy obviously at football camp. I actually really don’t enjoy it when everyone is in a different place but needs have musted! Posie enjoyed day one on the beach MUCHLY! Of course, we were all there for this one to surf!And with a head start, having done it lots before, she kicked off the week getting up nine times out of ten! Well done Florence! A girlie day! Day two and Jimmy was back to football camp!While I took this one and the tiny two to Cromer for more surfing! Chips first of course! Me and Posie! The little two made some friends and dug a really big hole! Did body boarding! Gram joined us! And it was truly glorious on the beach! What weather we were treated to! I forgot Posie’s swimming costume so she made do with one of Raffie’s!What a fun day, although the surf was flat which was disappointing! Ice cream pick up! The best way to finish a day! Wednesday was Gymboree as usual! Followed by a whistle-stop visit to Cookie and Jess who are camping at Wroxham Barns! Before hitting the beach for day three! And more chips of course! With frolicking for us while Florence learned to surf! And another very big hole with the same friends! And cherries! This time I remembered Posie’s swimsuit!And she had a brilliant time playing while turning 18 months old today! And finishing up chips! The surf still wasn’t the best today but she loved her lesson all the same! Thursday was more chips on the beach! I mean, if it ain’t broke…Another day of freedom!In warm weather but it was a bit nippy once you’d been in and needed to dry off! Raffie spent MOST of the day with his little beach friend who was on holiday! And Florence enjoyed another surf lesson with Glide! While we watched! And loved the sand! She kept working!The chips came out all day until they were finally gone! We played in the wagon! Heave ho! And basked in the sunshine! Then home to celebrate 12 years since our legal bit of our wedding with Ooni pizza in the garden! Friday we arrived at the beach a little tired! Obviously we had to have chips! Why change the habit of the week! Florence surfed! And surfed! And surfed! And we played on the beach, in pools as the tide went out! Another glorious day on the beach!Where we bumped into pals! Before heading to the campsite we love for a weekend with friends! Starting the fun in the camp site pool! Always a fave! While we swam the Daddies put the tents up!
