Summer Holidays 2026 – Week One!

I don’t think we’ve ever been more ready for a holiday and it seemed to be crawling over the finish line for the little two to finally break up from school, but we got there! After the big kids had already been off for a week and a half, taking advantage of school’s sports camp for Jimmy and dancing days at Pineapple for Florence, and after a mammoth and epic weekend for our annual visit to Suffolk Yurts, we launched into week one for the rest of us with a day trip to London with nearly a full team, only leaving Florence behind to stick to a commitment for working a glitter party!

We hit the science Museum, Shakespeare’s Globe, stepped all over the capital and finished with a McDonald’s/Leon hybrid fast food tea before a late night drive back home again. We spent Sunday resting (almost, just hair cuts for the boys and a bestie birthday party for Posie while Florence went off to surf in Cromer) then the rest of the week was fun, fun, fun. Days out for all and Latitude festival for Florence and Jimmy! We’ve been off to a brilliant start!

We did have a bit of a tummy upset for Posie which so far seems to have been contained and although Florence went right under with a sore throat she still managed to get to Latitude! So… We had a couple of down days, a fab day at Wroxham Barns, a trip to High Lodge and we finished the week in Southwold! Lovely!
