Summer Holidays 2026 – Week Two!

Second week began rather strangely with a first SOS from Florence at Latitude together say she knew she had tonsillitis but that the medics there couldn’t help. So we hot footed to Southwold (again, but no hardship) to take her to a prescribing pharmacist. Antibiotics prescribed and she was sent back to the festival knowing she’d feel a whole heap better within hours and then… We realised I had driven off without the car key. Ignitionless car leant with it still running, we had switched drivers and I had managed to go to Latitude, stop the car then. Ot be able to start it again! Im stepped Dan’s Taxis of Lowestoft with Sean and Andy O who out of the goodness of their hearts picked the key up from Jonny and brought it back to me.

There are also very bad ones unfortunately and my second SOS was the early hours of the morning when Florence, after days of a particular man (I would say boy, but he is 18) and his friends had been in their tent taking things, trashing things and generally being menacing, he inexplicably broke her tent beyond repair. And filmed himself doing it. Which is a whole new story to be told another time. Needless to say I got her out of them, and I got him out too! Latitude were great at assisting and did everything right so big up to them!

And… Moving swiftly on it was time for Florence to take her place at Arts Ed for the week, staying with her Uncle who lives nearby and enjoying every second!

Jimmy came home from the most favourite time with his friend at Latitude and then we spent days at the beach, at Roarr! And just pooling with football and parties!
