The Retro Tee Is Having The Time Of Its Life – Again!

Retro fashion has always had a special place in my heart. When I was a teenager it was all about looking back, raiding wardrobes, digging through charity shops and finding those perfect Retro T Shirts that made you feel like you had discovered treasure. The funny thing is that now my daughter Florence is sixteen and she is doing exactly the same thing, except she is not just wearing the retro fashion that was retro when I was her age. She is also wearing the things that were actually current when I was her age and somehow those are retro now too. It is a very full circle moment watching her walk out of the house in outfits that look suspiciously like the ones I wore to sixth form. And the best part is that I kept so many of those pieces. Turns out I was not hoarding, I was investing.

Florence has fully embraced the revival, especially when it comes to 70s Style T Shirts. She wears them with the same confidence I remember having, except she pairs them with things I would never have thought of. My old boot cut jeans, which I refused to part with even when skinny jeans ruled the world, are now her favourite thing. The surfy hoodies I wore on every school trip have been rescued from the back of the wardrobe and given a whole new life. It is like watching my teenage years walk around the house again, only cooler. And honestly, buying a few new pieces that are made to look old is pretty savvy too. Retro is not just a trend, it is a whole mood, and Florence is living it.

What I love most is how many different styles fall under the retro umbrella. There are Classic T Shirts that never go out of style, vintage inspired prints, bold colours, soft faded fabrics and everything in between. The Retro Tee really leans into that variety, inviting everyone to find their own version of nostalgia. Whether you are into the seventies, the nineties or somewhere in the middle, there is something that fits your vibe. It is a reminder that fashion is not one size fits all. It is a collection of memories, moods and moments that you can wear. Florence might be obsessed with the pieces from my youth, while I still get excited about the styles that were already retro when I was her age. Somehow it all blends together and looks completely effortless.

And that is the magic of fashion. It always comes back around. Even retro styles eventually become vintage, making space for the next wave of things to be called retro in another decade or two. What was once new becomes old, then becomes cool again, and the cycle keeps spinning. Watching Florence wear my old clothes while adding her own twist makes me realise how fun that cycle really is. It is not just about trends, it is about stories. The Retro Tee captures that perfectly, celebrating the past while giving it a fresh new life. And honestly, if my old boot cut jeans are suddenly the height of fashion again, then I am absolutely here for it.

Collaboration.
