Technically Florence is well past the In The Night Garden stage. I say technically because really and truly at five years old she is too old for it now but…

She loved it from very early on, got loads out of it at the time and the programme became part of our daily routine with her. It still is part of our daily routine because of course Jimmy is still very much in the thick of his time with enjoying the programme. So technically, even though Florence has moved on to more sparkly and in most cases Disney Princess orientated television viewing, because it is still on in our house most evenings she still watches it. And… She still enjoys it regardless of the fact it is aimed at a younger audience.

It is now so much a part of our day that it is the signal and the trigger which says wind down as it’s nearly time for bed; as long as that works then I’m not going to stop it. Soon Jimmy will want to watch other programmes that are not on CBeebies too I’m sure but I hope we keep our friends Iggle Piggle and co for just before bed time because it is a beautiful little programme with a lovely message and like I said, it is very calming.

Every year also we go to see the live show and every year we enjoy it just as much as we always have. The live show is so much fun and SO cleverly done that it feels as if you are taking part inside the programme. We love it!
