Wroxham Barns For Halloween 2024!

Wroxham Barns For Halloween 2024!

There’s a LOT going on for Halloween at Wroxham Barns this year and we’ve already kicked off with trying out their Pumpkin Patch!

New to the Wroxham Barns schedule for this time of year, the pumpkin field is a stand alone visit and you neither need a ticket to the farm, nor need to pay to get into the “Pick Your Own Field”, you just pay what you pick and would like to take home. There’s three different sizes out in the field (lots home grown on site) and from £3 per small pumpkin this could make an exceptionally inexpensive couple of hours, especially as there’s plenty of photo stations to grab those memories and make them last!

You can make the pumpkin patch just part of a visit to Wroxham Barns, by adding on a ticket to the farm where things like the miaze maze, rides and all the usual fun on the farm are included, alongside some special spooky goings on (children £9.95, adults £8.95 and babies under 2 FREE), or you can add small elements like the maize to your pumpkin picking experience.

The maize maze and craft activities (if not visiting the farm and only the pumpkin patch) costs £3.50 per child. We thought the maze was wickedly good fun! Really tricky riddles with lots of laughs at the gruesome goings on while you try to find the next clue!

I have to say that ordinarily I wouldn’t be a fan of things adding up, I’m a much happier camper with an “everything included” ticket but… Wroxham Barns very rarely do anything without perfection and they’ve got this just right. The pumpkins themselves, with all the photo opportunities, are fantastic value at £3 each with the patch being really inviting and a much superior effort than popping to the supermarket (where I’m not sure the pumpkins are any cheaper) and then the farm ticket, at £9.95 where everything else is included, is cheaper than it could be. I like that you can opt in, or out of getting your pumpkins at the farm!

So, that’s what’s on for this coming weekend and then the whole of half term but… Don’t forget half term also includes bonfire night this year and on the 1st and 2nd of November (Friday and Saturday nights) Wroxham Barns will be hosting their magnificent low bang fireworks displays which are accompanied by music and so, so gorgeous! Posie hates the bangs so we booked for last year and it was worth every penny, I’d have paid for our pitch just to see Posie’s delight when Elsa came on!

Of course, we are booked to go again this year and though you can still have up to 6 people per pitch, this year they are charging for 4 people at £45, then you can add up to two more for £10.50 each (you have your own pitch and can take chairs so it’s very civilised). There will be food trucks and of course time to spend on the farm and rides (all included) and we’ve booked the special afternoon tea which is £14.99 per adult and £9.99 per child – a new, seasonal menu which looks incredible. So, we will be stuffed to the gunnels by the time the fireworks happen at 8.30 and then it’s home to bed. We thoroughly recommend it based on our visit last year and I was quick as a flash in there to book again for this time – there’s only so many pitches, so don’t miss out!

We were gifted our pumpkins for 2024.
