This summer, Tesco have refreshed their range of pre-packed fresh fish to include everything from prawn cocktails, crispy fishcakes, hot smoked salmon and simply prepared fresh fish fillets. We have a Tesco just round the corner and I regularly buy from the pre-packed and fresh counter because we just adore salmon. We’re not terribly adventurous, occasionally we will opt for mussels or scallops if we’re feeling really daring but really, when salmon is SO good for you as well as tasty then […]

Both Florence and Jimmy are rather keen on Ben and Holly’s Litle Kingdom. It’s one of those programmes, like Peppa Pig who incidentally comes from the same maker, that just taps into ALL children and mine are no exception. We’ve had a fair few Ben and Holly related toys to play with in the past including the castle Playset which they both still adore playing with and now we’ve been sent the new version, the Thistle Castle Playset, available at […]
Today we took another trip to Wimbledon to visit our lovely Polka Theatre! We absolutely love it there and it is well worth the hour long journey with multiple changes to get to it! We have never been disappointed and today was, of course, no exception! Today we visited the Adventure theatre which is a performance room just off the main foyer that plays host to smaller shows for, very often, a younger audience. Skitterbang Island is aimed at the 3-5 […]
On Saturday we went into Central London to visit the people from Now TV and Nickelodeon at The Ham Yard Hotel in Soho. Nick and Nick Jr is joining NOW TV this summer and in celebration they (and Sponge Bob) hosted a bowling party at the super cool private bowling alley of the hotel! Us arriving! Lucky old us because not only did we get to bowl, craft, have pampering sessions and chill out watching NOW TV on bean bags but […]

So, you have a spare weekend free and you fancy going somewhere for a little mini-break. Do you choose somewhere on the south coast, where there is the best chance of sunshine? Do you opt for a theme park resort, where you and the kids can go wild? Or would you prefer to head somewhere where you can see things you’ve never seen before, and appreciate natural beauty at its best? If the third one sounds like your idea of […]
There could be anywhere between 1200 and 6000 islands in the Greek archipelago, scattering across two seas, of which between 166 and 227 are (possibly) inhabited. Further confusion ensues when you factor in ferry schedules, hungry kids and a limited time-frame, so it’s important to pick out just two or three Greek islands for your next family holiday in advance of booking. Read on for some of the most accommodating places to take children of any age in glorious Greece. […]
Well the summer holidays are finally here and after an emotional last day at nursery which included many tears (all mine), we are finally freeeeeeee! I remember the feeling of breaking up when I was a child and it’s exactly the same now that I look out on a summer six week break with my own children. The only difference being, I assume, that those long weeks of summer seemed to last forever when I was a child and now […]
Florence has been staying with my Dad for a couple of days and Jimmy has been very sad about missing her. Every so often he has asked ‘Where’s Florence?’ and when I tell him he lets out a big sigh with an ‘Awwwww’ and looks down to the ground. He was feeling a bit under the weather this week which probably didn’t help and I really wanted to cheer him up. I took him to the park yesterday afternoon, just […]
