Ready For Bed With Worlds Apart!

Posted in Uncategorized

At the beginning of the month I attended a sleep powwow held by family and lifestyle brand Worlds Apart. We spoke about all the different types of sleep problems children encounter and I spoke with their sleep expert, Mandy Gurney, about my own sleep problems or rather, those of my children! She was really helpful and gave lots of good advice which I have used some of to good effect. It all went out the window over the last couple […]

Alid Changing Bag!

Posted in Uncategorized

Ever the Aldi fan and it always pleases me to see their ‘special buys’ focussed on babies. Don’t get me wrong, I often buy from other ranges too but when it comes to the baby gear I am in my element. Bit of a baby product geek you see… Goodness only knows why but I am! Aldi actually do superb things for little ones. My Mum has this high chair at hers which is one of the best high chairs […]

School Tears!

Posted in Uncategorized

On her first day of school part of me felt a little pang that she didn’t shed a tear. She waved me away and couldn’t wait to get started and the tears that came that day came only from me. I knew she would be that way, so confident and happy as always and I knew it was better than her being sad but just that small part of me felt a tiny dot of a sigh that she wasn’t […]

Little Bird By Jools – Autumn/Winter 2014!

Posted in Uncategorized

It’s my favourite range of children’s clothing ever and this past weekend I literally couldn’t resist adding to our collection! I bought Florence a dress with a matching reversible bag (she chose it herself) and not wanting him to be left out I couldn’t resist buying Jimmy a new top with a star on the front and some bright, BRIGHT blue jeans which he looks super cool in! Both outfits go really well with the Little Bird socks we have […]

Hello Kitty Tea – Friday Night Treat Tea!

Posted in Uncategorized

Last week Florence requested a ‘Hello Kitty’ theme for our next Friday Night Treat Tea and without a lot of time to prepare (what with being in Marbella and all) I decided to make it really simple this week and do sandwiches with a few extras. I ordered a ‘Hello Kitty’ stamp cutter from Amazon for 75p but unfortunately it hasn’t arrived meaning I have had to improvise and cut out the sandwich shapes myself… This, I hope, will go […]

The Good, The Cougar And The Downright Ugly!

Posted in Uncategorized

Wow, what a week we’ve had with some very good parts, some wincey funny (Cougar) parts and some, unfortunately, pretty ugly and horrid parts! The Good! We went to Marbella for the wedding of some lovely friends and it was beautiful. My Mum took charge at home and I had my first full night’s sleep in 5 years. Our villa was amazing with panoramic views over the coast and mountains and the wedding, which took place in a Hacienda in […]

Looking Good In Your Swimming Costume!

Posted in Uncategorized

I’ve just come back from a wedding in Marbella where we had three whole days of solid partying. It was fine at the actual wedding bit but for the pool party the next day, I did feel self concious at the thought of baring all in front of so many people I know. After having two babies my tummy is no longer as flat as a pancake (far from it) and although other guests with children seemed to be fine […]

Technological Tools for Protective Parents

Posted in Uncategorized

It’s not unusual for young children to be the most tech savvy members of a household. While it can be truly remarkable to see kids work so intuitively with technology, it can also sometimes be a bit alarming. For parents, protecting kids is paramount, and this includes protecting them on the internet.  When it comes to sourcing broadband only deals for a family home, parents are wise to shop around and find the service that’s right for you, and one […]

Wedding Outfit!

Posted in Uncategorized

Tomorrow I fly out to Marbella for a friend’s wedding and this past week has seen me struggle to find that perfect outfit! However, I think I’ve done it with a bit of help from my Mum who raced around Norwich trying to find the last pair of shoes in my size because I couldn’t find them in London. I LOVE my new shoes and can’t wait to wear my wedding outfit. So, that’s my outfit and this is how I look […]

Am I Just An Old Lady?!

Posted in Uncategorized

I’m feeling old and hoping against reasonable hope that I don’t look it too… I’ve noticed for a while now that professionals are looking younger and younger and then it dawned on me… They’re not looking any younger than they ever were before, the difference is that I am now just so much older than I ever was before! I wrote a while back (here) about a night out in Shoreditch I had. It used to be my playground and […]
