British Boxers For Mother’s Day!

What do mothers want for Mother’s Day? Really? Well, we do love a bit of food that we don’t have to cook – granted! And flowers, chocolates and a cup of tea in bed will absolutely not go amiss, but… Bed… That’s the ticket… That’s what we really, really want!
New pyjamas (don’t you just love my Westwood Pink Stripes from British Boxers?!), clean sheets (that we haven’t had to change ourselves) and a lie in (for sure) but actually…

The gift of being able to hop into bed and watch something on TV with no one wanting or needing us, that’s the ticket! Now you’re talking! And I would say removing my bra at the end of the day could be a favourite thing, but, I don’t wear a bra! Gave that up long ago! So, for me, getting into my pyjamas, that’s the golden moment!

For my money, if you don’t want to go wrong, then just buy your Mama some gorgeous PJs this Mother’s Day. It will be a guaranteed welcome, and you will 100% earn yourself some brownie points, especially if you point her up the stairs and tell her to go watch a box set of something wonderful!
I don’t go to bed to go to sleep, I go to drink tea and watch TV at the end of the day, and one of my most delightful pleasures is doing that with my eldest, who now no longer needs me to wipe her nose, and nor does she need me to provide the cups of brew – she is more than capable of putting the kettle on and making us both one! So, for the best company with a likeminded TV addict, and someone who can be relied upon to keep the refreshments topped up, matching pyjamas and dedicated time with her, this is what I want for Mother’s Day 2026 (and every day if I’m honest)!
The Westwood Pink Stripes pyjamas by British Boxers are soft to touch (so soft), and I am told by Florence (who is always in the know) that they are exactly what pyjamas should look like! Tailored and smart, and yet with it they are uncomplicated and feel comfortable. The look is one thing, the feel is something else entirely! And we love ours! Love that they match (Florence is a size 6-8 wearing a petite – and I am a 10 wearing a small) and love how bright and spring like they are in colour (they also come in a gloriously sunny blue) and yet how they keep me warm. I hate being too cold! They also currently have 20% off so if you’re looking for that all important, thoughtful, Mother’s Day gift, then look no further!

Now, what about the practical? Yes, they wash well! We had Christmas pyjamas as a family, also from British Boxers and they also wash, and dry well, so it’s pleasing that this is a British Boxers thing! The fact that the 100% brushed cotton dries super quickly is also a plus and with a bit of a shake when they come out of the washing machine I have found that a quick iron has them looking good as brand new, but… If you prefer to not iron you could easily get away with it (my top tip for chores is to include ironing though – when ironing you also get to watch TV and no one questions you or asks you to do anything assuming you are buy doing important ironing things)!
Oh we love our new pyjamas which have arrived for Mother’s Day, and the spring like afternoon tea I shall also be preparing for the Grandmas can happen before I next wear them on Sunday, at the end of a lovely time with family and well before anyone could declare a reasonable bed time!
Yet again, I shall be hitting the hay and catching up on my tele viewing experience, in the name of Mother’s Day, and asserting my rights to be comfortable and have tea brought to me while I do it!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY (with the best cotton picking Mother’s Day present I can imagine)!
