A ‘Frozen’ Ready Room!

Posted in Uncategorized

We recently went to a sleep powwow with Worlds Apart, the kids lifestyle brand that likes to help with all things slumber. We had a great time at the event and got to learn a fair few things from a sleep expert as well as taking away some handy products that the children have been using in their bedrooms ever since. We love the Go Glow lights which double up as torches (ALL children love torches) and the ready beds (excellent for […]

Nutty’s Children’s Parties – The Album!

Posted in Uncategorized

Danny Nutt is an actor (like him already – he’s of my kind), DJ, children’s entertainer and director of Nutty’s Children’s Parties. Nuttys are based in West Norwood and can provide disco parties, football parties, drama workshops and all manner of other types of parties all at from what I can see is a very reasonable price. They cover the whole of London and the South East of England as well as (randomly) Newcastle Upon Tyne (lucky Newcstle)! The parties […]

The Pumpkin Festival At Willows Farm!

Posted in Uncategorized

Yesterday we went back to an old favourite of ours, Willows Farm in St Albans. We go quite a bit and always have fun because whatever the weather there’s something to do! I love how this farm makes like a chameleon and depending on the holiday it matches its stripes to completely transform for the occasion. At Christmas is becomes Santa’s Spectacular Grotto, for Easter they have an Eggstravaganza, there’s a Summer Spectacular, Potato Shindig, Spring Special and last but not least the […]

Match And More At Morrisons!

Posted in Uncategorized

Last week Jimmy and I headed off to Camden to meet with the Morrisons Team in one of their largest stores in the capital. The night before had seen a new television advertising campaign, fronted by Ant and dec, to let the country know all about Morrisons new Match and More card. Most supermarkets have a price matching scheme and as you leave the store with a receipt that says ‘You could have saved 12p elsewhere’ You realise you only […]

Grandad, Me And Teddy Too!

Posted in Uncategorized

Yesterday we were treated to another great performance at The Polka Theatre in Wimbledon. I was asked by a friend soon after we left whether I thought it was any good and if she should take her children? My response was, ‘yes, yes and to be honest, everything I’ve seen at Polka is good and you should take your children to as many things as you can there’. Polka is the sweetest little children’s theatre which relies on charity donations […]

Bit of iCandy On My Arm!

Posted in Uncategorized

I love bags and coats. I can’t help it, I just do and my collections are rather extensive for both… The thing is, when you have children the choices you make for your bags become a little different for the day to day. I still have my silly little clutches and pouches that hold no more than my tube pass but I don’t really have the need to use them often any more. These days I instead have to have […]

A Full Half Term!

Posted in Uncategorized

Well we made it, we survived the first half term of big school and we’re out the other side smiling. My girl went from happy and confident to utterly miserable then back to being her happy self again. That’s a lot to happen in a few short weeks and to say we’ve had ups and downs is an understatement. I have found it incredibly hard watching my baby not happy yet having to take her in to school anyway and we […]

How To Make Perfectly Crisp Roast Potatoes!

Posted in Uncategorized

Roast potatoes are something I used to find very tricky and the results would always be very hit and miss. That was until I took my Mum’s advice (she always knows) and started to make them as she does. I used to try all sorts of things and use all different types of fat including goose, but actually, the way my Mum does them is so simple and she only uses plain old olive oil. They are crisp on the […]

What’s New Baby?!

Posted in Uncategorized

Yesterday I went to The Baby Show which is forever being hit and miss in my book. One visit is good and the next is pretty poor. In February I enjoyed it but yesterday, it just didn’t float my boat. There wasn’t enough of anything new and innovative while the show felt tired; I’ve been quite a lot of times but even for someone who had never visited I can’t see it would have been THAT much of a day out… […]

A Bella Breakfast!

Posted in Uncategorized

It’s been a while since I’ve been to a Bella Italia although I’ve always enjoyed meals there in the past and found them to have a really good menu for children too. I didn’t, however, know that they serve breakfast; in my mind I assumed they were a lunch time and evening place to be really and it simply hadn’t occurred to me until I was invited to pop along with Jimmy and try the menu last week. Apparently they […]
