Those lovely folk over at Lollibop have decided to join hands with children’s charity Barnardo’s for this year’s bash! I just can’t think of a more fitting charity for the festival as both are so solely focused on children and with Barnardo’s holding ‘Big Toddle’ events to raise money, I can’t think of a better venue than the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park! What a pairing for this latest news from the big bash for little people! LOLLIBOP PARTNERS WITH BARNARDO’S […]

When I first had Florence I didn’t know anyone else in my area who had children. It didn’t take long however to make some mummy friends at play groups. I think I had assumed that ‘mummy friends’ would be the people I hung out with while I had a baby and not really the people I continued to hang out with from choice later on. I couldn’t have been more wrong because the group of women I met are amazing. […]
Two months ago I went to The Harley Street Dermatology Clinic and met with Consultant Dermatolgist Dr Adam Friedmann for the removal of the moles on my face! I’ve written about my experiences including some pretty gory pictures of the healing but that was all back when it had just been done! Two months on and how do I look? Have my moles gone for good? Did I scar badly? Well… They look pretty good actually. People said for ages afterwards that they never […]
A while back I wrote about why my blog is called ‘Rock ‘n’ Roller Baby‘ and I said it’s all because of Rock ‘n’ Roller Daddy being a musician. Jonny is a singer and a song writer and also a wonderful musician, it’s such a big part of us and our family that of course that had to be our name! He’s been working really hard writing and recording new songs and he’s been out and about playing them too! […]
Today is the last day of term for Florence and we have lots of lovely summery days to fill coming up! Obviously Daddy will be working for lots of it so it will be just me and the children and with lots of the play groups we usually attend also shutting for the summer it lies with me to find things we can do to make the summer fun! London is fabulous and we’ll be visiting all our favourite places […]

Florence started nursery back in January and because it’s attached to a school it runs rather like a school with qualified teachers and structured learning time. We don’t call it nursery and in fact just say ‘we’re off to school’! Florence loves it and has had such a good first couple of terms, enjoying the learning, making friends and the new format to her days. She only goes two and a half days a week but it’s really been a […]
I have reviewed and written about all sorts of disposable nappies from all sorts of shops and one thing I find these days is that they’re all pretty good. Even the eco ones can often be used through the night and staying dry doesn’t seem to be much of an issue. Disposable nappies, on the whole, work! So, what sets some apart from others? Well price is a factor of course and sometimes buying high end brands can be a […]
More Sassy bathtime fun for us! This time we’ve been playing with the Bathtime Pals (suitable from 6 months) which are 5 cute characters associated with the sea who fill up with water when squeezed under the suds! Once their tummies are full, little fingers just have to squeeze and watch the stream of water shoot from the little character’s mouths! Not a new concept when it comes to a bath toys but no less fun than it always has […]
I’ve mentioned before that Florence is a massive fan of the television show Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom. There’s something about it that really captures little people’s attentions and it doesn’t seem to matter if you’re a boy or a girl, just as with other Astley Baker Davies productions, it extends its appeal to both sexes. As well as being magical it’s also very funny and with the spells going wrong the characters really make the children laugh. I think […]
