Clementoni Dynamix Bionic Power By The Science Museum!

I’m not wild about buying things which need homes for the big kids. They have board games and stuff coming out of their ears and after Christmas each year it really feels like we have to move house and find one with far more cupboards so to shake that feeling I instead try to make sure they get clothing, gift vouchers or days out rather than STUFF. I do make exceptions though I promise so don’t feel too sad for their poor hard done by selves, it’s just I’m quite selective that’s all!

The Science Museum (one of our fave places to visit in London and somewhere we went weekly when we lived there) always do collaborate on wonderful toys which very definitely ARE worthy of taking up cupboard space and that’s why this is one of my exceptions when I’m looking! This year how about this Clementoni Dynamix Power for your 8 year old pluses? I know that Jimmy (8) will absolutely love it. It feeds right into the things he’s interested in for building, creating and making mechanisms work (I’ll never forget the press party we went to at the top of the BT Tower where he snubbed the face painter and other entertainment as well as all food to lie on the floor for 3 hours watching the mechanics of how the top of the tower rotated – he didn’t even want to look out the window at London as we circled around every vantage point – he just wanted to know how it was possible that we could be doing so!)

The Clemntoni Dynamix Power which is made in connection with The Science Museum is a fun and engaging way of introducing the study biomechanics. With 190 component parts which include bendable rods, children will be able to create 5 models of bionic arm: the dual gripper, the triple bionic gripper, the tentacles, the hook and the spring. The bendable rods use spring force and turn the hand into a powerful mechanical extension of the body. Jimmy will love making ALL of these and then you know what… I bet he designs and builds his own using the parts and I bet it will be even better than the ones from the instructions.

I love tapping into his creative yet totally logical mind and this is something I know he will absolutely love. I have even thrown away (something I hate to do) a box of rubbish jigsaws about the same size as this box in preparation for the space in his toy box! You can buy the Clementoni Dynamix Bionic Power from Smyths Toys for £24.99 and take a look at it in action below!
