Easter Holidays 2021!

The Easter holidays arrived just after we marked a year of lockdown and with it came some of the better weather we were as a consolation prize last year. The sunshine came and went which is a bit like our ititation at still being in a lockdown situation and with some of the restrictions relaxed a little I felt this was definitely more of a holiday than the last school break. We edge towards a better time slowly and safely but perhaps caution takes the extreme in some cases. I don’t know… We made the most of the time away from school, saw friends and introduced Posie to them, saw family and made like the flowers pointing our faces to the sunshine when it was out.

Here’s our best bits in pictures:

We kicked off the week with some Ooni sweet pizzas!
Sunday I had a walk with my brother phil!
Who got to meet his youngest niece for the first time!
We spent Monday with my lovely friend Emily and her fabulous gang of kiddos and now baby puppy Chloe too. We met Chloe and they met Posie. A perfect day in the sunshine with our specials!
Great food!
Great company!
Egg decorating!
Games!
Meeting Chloe!
Meeting Posie!
Under a sunny sky – couldn’t have asked for more but my friend went above and beyond making it a special day for us!
And I tool many pictures in her beautiful garden that I will treasure always!
We loved Monday!
Tuesday kicked off with a poorly Raff but we had no plans so just headed to my Mums beautiful garden where he got a sick Bay bed made under the trees and he soon picked up!
Felt like summer!
The weather was just beautiful and we made the most as itt wasn’t set to last!
We basked in it and so did Posie having her toes exposed to the air!
She was adored all day as she is always!
And babbled away chatting which was beautiful to see!
Jimmy loved it. He’s such an outdoors boy which is amazing to see as when inside he’s just on his screens all day – this suits him so much better!
He found the biggest strawberry in the punnet!
And the two big kiddos got on really well – smiles in the sun!
Florence built the longest daisy chain!
Enjoying the feel of being in the Med!
Another glorious day of sunshine!
And then home to sleep it off and have another day, just one more forecast, of sun on Wednesday too!
Wednesday we were at home in our garden doing lots of messy things like chalk!
And glitter!
And ice creams with cousins!
And Aunties!
And grannies!
Lots of fun and games!
In the sunshine!
Pizza cooking!
Pizza eating!
Cuddles!
Posie wore her dress from her uncle Phil!
And Jimmy blew stuff up in his land mine!
Thursday was a slow day. Raffie wasn’t feeling himself (his hair always gives that away) and didn’t get up until 10am so we just hung out at Gram’s and went to the park.
Good Friday saw us in Hingham for their egg hunt around their village. It was very sweet but very cold!
The boys found big sticks so they loved it!
Posie turned 2 months old on Saturday!
A slow Saturday saw Raffie getting Jimmied!
Sometimes days just call for the beige food!
Easter Sunday was so sunny and unexpectedly so – how lucky!
Chocolate for breakfast for the win!
Grandad and Grusie sent the best chocs!
Posie got a Jelly Cat elephant!
And we made her wear deely bobbers which she only tolerated for a very brief period of time!
What else can you buy a baby at Easter though?!
Mildly tolerating!
Getting. Ready for the hunt!
Raffie was more keen on wearing his deely boppers!
Jimmy entertained it!
As did Florence!
The hunt was very exciting even with a few melted chocolates!
I mean chocolate is chocolate right?!
The cat basked!
We all did!
Gram and Posie watched!
Back on with the boppers – toleration completely gone!
My Easter table!
I do love a novelty seasonal decoration!
And a roast lamb!
Crackers!
Hats!
Jokes!
More watching for Posie!
More chocolate – of course!
And origami!
Crafting to finish the day!
Easter Monday called for more food, more crackers and more chocolate!
And an Easter outfit from Granny and Papa!
With not much else to do in these still locked down days we went for one of our fave family walks over the field behind where we live on Tuesday morning!
My EDP column came out!
Posie was delightful in white!
Everyone was knackered and went to bed early!
Wednesday called for another walk with friends and some more lovely outfit choices for Posie!
And Raffie helped himself to chocolate without asking which I shouldn’t but did laugh at!
Before we met up with a friend in the park!
Thursday we had an online clothing launch with Alesha Dixon and George at Asda!
And enjoyed the Shnuggle bath as always!
Friday the little two had their immunisations and it was awful. The nurse was not good and it was very upsetting but thankfully they didn’t feel too poorly afterwards!
It was made up for by two of our London gang coming to see us and sit in our garden for pizza!
Florence and Zhane have been beasties since Florence was 5 weeks old!
Saturday was a trip to the local park!
With cousins!
And though it was.old we had fun!
Then it was the last day of the holidays already and with a world pending to come out of lockdown but not quite there yet we just had another day at another park!
A really good one near Gram’s house!
And these two got on like the best of friends for once!

Now the house is quiet, the big two are at school, as is Jonny and Raffie is at nursery so it’s just Posie and I. We are already looking forward to half term!
