Eco Friendly Cleaning With Shorrock Trichem!

Eco Friendly Cleaning With Shorrock Trichem!

It seems this week is one long confessional on the lack of cleanliness kept in my house. It’s not for want of trying I assure you but 4 kids, a cat and a husband (well, it’s not me) and the whole thing is rather difficult to keep on top with if we’re looking at pristine measures and most of the time I manage to just about keep my head above the water by doing the bare minimum, the bits you can see and just generally wiping over stuff rather than really getting in there and doing it all properly. The thing is, how? How do people have the time? I watch all the celebrity cleaning social media stars wipe over once with some foul smelling detergent I then dutifully buy but the elbow grease they haven’t written about or shown in their super slick TikTok vids just doesn’t seem to work for me so again I end up just going over what I can and using a plethora of products which are neither friend to the environment be they their ingredients and/or packaging and nor do they seem to work. I need a friend in my cleaner, a friend to the world of course but also a friend to me in that I need something which works, works quickly and little effort or time is required… In step Shorrock Trichem.

I feel I’d better give you the laugh with my first confession of the scummy Mummy this week in that my Instagram yesterday showed my baby had discovered, in a toy box, a sausage roll and was eating it under the table. I mean… Gag! We hadn’t had sausage rolls (home made, we’re not complete animals) since Boxing Day so poor Posie had rediscovered a 3 week old festering sausage roll and had it in her mouth. We are 24 hours later and she’s not been ill (thank goodness, but also how?) and I’ve had stern words with the others about dropping food in, well this case, the toy box. I mean for the love of God, I can’t be checking toy boxes daily for discarded bits of food – it’s enough I managed to shove all the toys back in there in the first place (I told you, bare minimum)!

And the second confession… Well it has to be my shower! In my defence I live in an extremely hard water area and the lime scale builds up at the rate of knots. If you don’t keep on top of it daily it looks like a right dog’s dinner (worse than the sausage roll) in just a week and nothing gets that stuff off but hard work and hours of dedicated time (I think a few tears might help, they certainly get to see them by the end), however today I cleaned our shower beautifully with one product and a micro fibre cloth in, honestly not nano seconds, but far less time than it would usually take me. Today I used the environmentally friendly glass and stainless steel cleaner from the Enviro Shot range by Shorrock Trichem and my shower is gleaming!

Take a look at this bad boy and then…
15 minutes later it’s a world away!
You spray the solution directly onto a cloth!
Then after you buff or squeegie it dry!
Super simple!

I did the whole shower (I only did one, the other will have to be another day, told you needs musted) in 15 minutes using only the Shorrock Trichem glass and stainless steel cleaner which you add a sachet of powder to a bottle with water and shake. I am using one of the bottles you can buy very inexpensively from their website but any would do and then because you refill it that’s just one plastic bottle and not all of the very many you’d use over the course of time before throwing in the bin. One shower used very little indeed and I imagine the one bottle will last for a few months making it a super thrifty way of cleaning too. The packet comes with 20 capsules which will make 20 regular sized bottles of cleaner for £9.46 so at less than 50p a bottle I don’t think you can say fairer than that, especially when it works SO well!

The bottle has directions on how to make up the solution and how to use the product!
It’s very easy to do!
And one capsule makes a whole bottle of regular sized cleaning fluid!

All the products are made with a biodegradable formula, are free from single use plastic and the packaging is fully compostable and 100% biodegradable. Even the packing material is eco friendly with shredded paper to keep the products safe rather than bubble wrap!

Another of the products I’ve been trying out is the Floor and Hard Surface Cleaner which again comes in packets that you dilute. 150 capsules come in a box which then are to be diluted in a bucket of warm water and at £41.42 for all 150 that may seem pricey but that’s all my hard floors with the one bucket, 150 times over. Less than a quid a floor clean and again I think that’s incredibly good value because again, as well as all the eco benefits it works. At the end of the day that’s all you really need isn’t it!

Sparkling!

I am very impressed at the ease with which the eco range by Shorrock Trichem allows me to apply my usual wipe over but gives a more thorough result!

Collaboration.
