Glamping at Wroxham Barns 2024!

Glamping at Wroxham Barns 2024!

I’ve thought about glamping at Wroxham Barns for the past couple of years. We visit often to see the farm, and I’ve had a look inside the bell tents before and thought what tremendous value they are so it’s always been on my list! Now, finally for 2024, we’ve managed to do it! I paid £130 per night for a bell tent with all the trimmings (it’s £25 for your bedding if you don’t want to take your own) and frankly, it was worth every penny!

You have your own little area with a picnic table and fire pit (logs and kindling can be bought in the cabin shop on site), two camping chairs for outside, a little sofa in the bell and it’s furnished with a light, drawers, cups, crockery, cutlery, mugs, teas and coffees, even jams! There’s a mirror and a power pack which is charged in the day time ready for you to use in the tent over night and it has a plug socket, not just a USB!

Now, we are a large family and though technically we could have all fit in one tent because Posie’s bed is OUR bed, Wroxham Barns very kindly gave me a second bell to make us more comfortable. We had two on the end next door to each other which was great as we felt slightly out of the way, yet still in the thick of it. Entry to the farm and fun park comes included so the kiddos got to experience a little more than a usual glamping site in that they had the freedom to play, roam and enjoy farm life on tap. More than this, there’s brilliant facilities in terms of showers and kitchen equipment. Fridges, kettles, microwaves and more. There’s also a camp shop, the farm stays open later for campers one night, with the rides and fun park being open late the next. And the rest of the WB amenities like it’s cafe and other food stalls and shops, are all open for you to utilise.

The pizza pantry stays open late on arrivals days making food super easy. Because there’s a massive communal fridge, a freezer, inside the amenities building (also home to more phone charges, washing up stations, showers for families, individual showers, clean toilets and a space to plug in hair dryers) you can keep any left-overs fresh for the next day’s lunch!

We also enjoyed loaded chips from the Greedy Goat, lots of yummy ice creams (because it was SO hot when we visited – perfect!) and some special treats from the Willow Tree Deli on site. And to top our food count off brilliantly, we devoured one of the scrumptious Wroxham barns afternoon teas. We do tend to book this for all our special occasions as it’s so good and the cakes, which are made in house, are delicious!

We absolutely loved our trip, it was absolutely perfect and we wanted for nothing, they really have thought of the lot. Even a camping host (big shout out to Saffron and Will who were ours) to be on hand for any of your needs but also to play games with the children. The camp is set up really well so that the children had all already joined forces to play but having them on hand organising water fights and games of “stuck in the mud” was a great addition! Add to this the amazing fun on the farm including a daily foam party and what more could you want? You don’t even have to glamp, a pitch for your tent is only £30 a night then you have a preferential rate to visit the farm – love it!

You can, if you prefer to just use the fabulous location but don’t want to access the farm, book a tent pitch and use it as a base – there was also a family with teens who were glamping at the same time as us and they didn’t go into the farm once but thought the bell tent price was well worth it to be in such a prime location in the county. It’s pretty easy to walk into Wroxham from WB, hire a boat and see what else is on offer in the town. We decided that we wanted to do a bit of both. So, having wanted to hire a broads boat for ages, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so. A mix of glamping, enjoying the farm and the local area – perfect! We paid £35 for an hour with Wroxham Boat Hire. I don’t think they were the cheapest but they were the only ones with availability (and they were helpful and good)!

What a wonderful time we had, thoroughly recommend Wroxham Barns all year round but they’ve excelled themselves with the glamping and camping site! If you’d like to see what the facilities are like, more on the food we ate (we mainly ate on site at their restaurants), as well as what a fun time we had, then check out my Instagram reels @rocknrollerbaby!
