Hello Kitty Restaurant

If you are a lover of Hello Kitty and Chinese cuisine tickles your taste buds, then you are in for a real treat! There are already several places to eat with a Hello Kitty theme, including a mobile café truck, but now the world’s first Hello Kitty Chinese restaurant is set to open in Hong Kong.

Alongside the feline-inspired décor, which will include lampshades, mirrors, chairs, teapots, cups, chopsticks and tableware, the restaurant will feature 37 dishes, around half of which will be in the shape of the cat. Hello Kitty dim sum anyone?

Hello Kitty Plane

All aboard Hello Kitty airlines! Sanrio teamed with Taiwan airline EVA AIR and created an adorable cat themed aircraft, which has now not only take over the world but the skies as well. Hello Kitty fanatics can start their holiday off in-style, from the moment you enter the terminal until landing.

Every aspect of your travel will be inspired by the cat, from the bright pink, Hello Kitty themed check-in desk and luggage tags, through to the cat images adorning the outside and inside of the plane and the Hello Kitty themed food. Even the flight crew will walk the aisles in kitty-clad outfits, as they offer you the opportunity to purchase exclusive souvenirs. You will feel like you have gone to Hello Kitty heaven!

Hello Kitty Hotel

The Hello Kitty experience doesn’t have to end when you step off the plane, as you can now stay in a kitty-themed hotel! The Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo includes two room types that will completely immerse you in a Hello Kitty world. Both feature furniture and interior that focuses on a feline-theme, from the wallpaper down to the kettle. The “Kitty Town” room offers a fun, pop-art feel, whilst the “Princess Kitty” room features a fairytale princess feel.

Hello Kitty Theme Park

There are also several Hello Kitty theme parks, including Harmonyland in Oita, Japan. Here you can visit Hello Kitty herself in Kitty castle for a photo opportunity, ride the rhythmic roller coaster in the form of roller skates, or take a trip on the Ferris wheel, where you will sit in a cage formed of the faces of popular characters. From the rides, to live shows, restaurants and meet and greets with Sanrio characters, it will be a Hello Kitty day to remember!

Hello Kitty Maternity Suite

Perhaps the most bizarre of all, the Hau Sheng Hospital in Yuanlin, central Taiwan has a maternity suite entirely dedicated to the much loved cartoon cat. The first of its kind, 30-bed hospital includes blankets, birth certificates, cots and staff uniform emblazoned with the feline motif.

At the entrance to the hospital you will even be greeted by a Hello Kitty statue dressed in a doctors uniform followed by a pink elevator. If you are a Hello Kitty fan, what better way to welcome your newborn baby, than into a Hello Kitty world? It is also hoped that the world’s most recognisable character will ease the pain and fear of childbirth. Bonus!
