Mountain Warehouse Is A Bit Of An “Animal!”

We were in Polzeath at the beginning of the summer holidays, just at the same time as Board Masters was going on a little way down the coast. Florence, an avid (almost all year round) surfer was in her element but insanely jealous that she isn’t yet old enough to attend the festival – one day! She followed it closely on social media as she went out to surf all day, every day, that we were in Cornwall and lapped up the incredible swell you just can’t find in Norfolk. Most of the year she surfs on Cromer beach with Glide surf school, even now she’s wanting to get in the water, but the summer is where she really is able to come into her own!

This year, one of the sponsors of Board Masters was Animal (Sold at Mountain Warehouse), and she was thrilled to be sent some of their gear for the finer months. A rash vest and matching shorts which she was able to use later on in the summer in another beachy hot spot of ours, Southwold and even more something she’s been after, one of their shorties!

Flo currently has a foamy, she bought it herself with pocket money when she was about 9, it’s a little outgrown now and her eyes are well and truly set on a hard board for next year so that by the time she IS old enough to get to Board Masters, she has all the right gear, she already has the idea!

Surfing is more than sport really, it’s a real little circle with a bit of a way of life. The things she wears, both in every day life , and on the beach, are a real part of it. This summer she chose to wear her Animal sea wear when in the water and could be seen almost exclusively in Tom’s Trunks when on land. Tom is from Norfolk, but was selling on Polzeath beach – everyone who’s anyone in the surf world was wearing them this season (even I’ve got a pair) and I reckon Florence is the perfect model for both!
