Mr Tod’s Lair At Willows Farm Open For Their Easter Eggstravaganza!

We are long time fans of Willows Farm in Hertfordshire and would make regular trips when we lived in East London, a 45 minute car ride away. Now that we are in Norfolk we tend not to visit quite so frequently but we do absolutely still go and there are a few points during the year that we never want to miss a visit. Willows go all out for different pin pointed celebrations and Christmas is our first ‘never miss’ while the ‘Easter Eggstravagaza’ is another!

It’s pricey to get into the farm park but you must note that once inside everything is paid for. There’s no hidden costs with a pound needed here for a ride or a fiver having to be laid down for something else, from tractor rides to bouncy castles, shows, a huge soft play, outdoor playgrounds, fairground rides and more, the cost of the entry is all you need and at Easter they even give you chocolates as they offer a fabulously fun Easter egg hunt for all the children! And that’s all before we’ve even touched on the fact that there’s all the animals to see, feed and pet! In fact, despite the all singing and all dancing nature of the place, my kids love nothing more than simply holding a guinea pig in the petting area and at this time of the year getting to see all the baby animals!

We always like to meet up with our blogging pals from Mummy Endeavours when we visit Willows and this past weekend we did just that to not only celebrate the launch of the Easter Eggstravaganza but to also see for the first time their new Peter Rabbit area as it opened on Saturday! We joined celebs like Michelle Heaton from Liberty X, Nick Knowles and Alex Jones as well as other bloggers like myself and Carolynne (great to see Laura from Mummy’s Zone) to get a first taste of Mr Tod’s Lair and the kids LOVED it!

Willows have had their original Peter Rabbit playground for a few year’s now and Mr Tod’s Lair is new to compliment it. Despite us having visited numerous times we’ve never managed to get to the original Peter Rabbit area while it was still daylight (there’s so much to do at the farm it’s impossible to catch everything) so we hadn’t seen it in all its glory before but we made a beeline for it this visit and I’m so glad we did. The kids basically went from Mr Tod’s Lair to the original Peter Rabbit area back and forth loving every second. Just like the new film, it’s for all age groups not just little ones and it’s SO magical. They’ve put so many finishing touches and details it’s almost like you’re inside your favourite Beatrix Potter book – it was a tremendous day indeed!

We absolutely LOVED our day at Willows Farm on Saturday and highly recommend a visit, as we always do but even more so now with Mr Tod’s Lair! And make sure you play on the older Peter rabbi play ground too because it’s AWESOME!
