Get NAKED With Whey Protein!

Naked Nutrition are a company I turn to for many different supplements. I love their collagen powder and Jimmy gets a real boost when he uses their Kid’s Daily Essentials, something he did for the first time around a year ago after having to have a very big operation and losing a lot of weight.
They make lots of different supplements for the whole family and whether it’s energy you’re looking for, or chasing some fresher skin, healthier hair, or aiding a new diet and exercise plan, Naked Nutrition have you covered. And what I really like about them is how ethical they are in terms of transparency. They don’t “allude” to something being a certain way, if a product can offer a benefit, they will tell you so. If it can’t, then it won’t. I’ve never felt let down by any of the things we have tried in the past, have become a regular customer myself after working with them, and it’s that trust that gifts me the knowledge that I can 100% recommend them to you guys too!
They’ve just launched a platform selling directly here in the UK (hurrah)! And to celebrate they’ve sent me some of their grass fed, whey protein powder. Protein powders are used as a supplement to combine with exercise and improve performance all round. Depending on how you exercise and what your motivations are, you can manipulate the use of protein powders to:
- Improving recovery after exercise, especially weight training.
- Increasing muscle mass when combined with consistent weight training.
- Boosting overall health and immunity during endurance training.
- Aiding weight loss and helping tone muscles.
- Preventing muscle tissue loss in older adults.
- Assisting with wound healing after trauma, burns, or surgery.
There are many more benefits besides too, and I strongly suggest reading up on how to use it, especially if you are wanting to maintain a healthy weight, lose weight/or gain it, and add a positive addition to an already healthy lifestyle. But… The real question is how to you take it if it’s a powder?
Well… I like to have mine in protein pancakes – Naked Nutrition sell flavoured versions so that you can make yourself a shake but I simply prefer a flavourless version, then I can add it to anything I like, be it drink, or food! The pancakes are my favourite thing to make and this is how I create mine!
To make 6 medium sized pancakes you will need:

- 100g of self raising flour
- 1 medium egg
- 1 medium banana
- A handful of blueberries
- 3ooml of milk (whichever milk you prefer)
- A teaspoon of coconut oil
- a scoop and a half of Naked Nutrition’s Naked Whey
Method:
Heat the oil in a frying pan and then blend the rest of the ingredients (except the blueberries) in a Nutribullet. It will be thick, like a yogurt consistency, and then you need to spoon palm sized pancakes into the hot pan, add a few blueberries to each pancake and fry for 60 seconds, then flip them over for 30 seconds more before stacking them up!

I like to add a dollop of Greek or plain yogurt to mine, more berries and a drizzle of honey, what do you think?!

Collaboration.
