Origin Hybrid Pro Single Mattress!

A while back I wrote an Origin Hybrid Pro mattress review that we have on our King Sized bed. It’s incredible, and, along with the fantastic Origin Latex pillows that we got at the same time, it’s revolutionised our sleep – more than that, it’s revolutionised just being in the bedroom. Quite frankly, bed and being in it, is a whole new vibe now (especially now, in the winter, while I’ve been enjoying an early curfew in order to get under the covers and watch TV before I go to sleep! My bed has sort of become a family hub it’s so comfortable, everyone wants in on the action!

So, when we made over Raffie’s room recently, with the primary focus being to make his tiny room workable, a new Origin Hybrid Pro had to be on the agenda, only this time, in single form! The Origin Hybrid Pro is a deluxe mattress and therefore the price is a little higher than others on the market. You do, however, get what you pay for. It’s deep and filled with over 5,700 sleep-engineered titanium springs, as well as gifting 9 comfort layers for enhanced pressure relief. The ultra cooling graphite, extra plush pillow top, premium latex and it’s made with bamboo infused wool. So that’s the information but what about the proof in the pudding?!

Well, we LOVE ours! It’s so comfortable, which is the main thing. I like a firmer mattress, Jonny a squishier one and yet this somehow seems to tick both boxes and be two different things in one. I don’t know how but it just works. Anther fab thing about it is that it doesn’t move! Our old mattress used to move around on the slats, it was very annoying. This one fits flushly but also has rubberised bits on the bottom which keep it in place and even better than that… Possible THE BEST bit for me, is that even though it’s new and I didn’t want to get it dirty in any way so have been very careful, we co-sleep and there has been some little accidents. Not only do these seem to wipe away no problem (pillows too), but they leave no trace of a mark when cleaning up with just soap and water I have found. OBVIOUSLY this is a major plus for a 7 year old’s bed and though we have bought waterproof mattress covers just to be on the safe side, I do feel comfortable knowing that it’s pretty easy to clean!

Raffie’s old bed was just toddler sized, the mattress just okay at best, His tiny box room has been transformed with the purchase of a Julian Bowen bed from John Lewis. The bed was on sale when we bought it for £285, but is back to full price now – however, it’s a great bed (with a few issues) so worth the cost. The issues are that it takes HOURS to put together, isn’t easy at all and there were marks like dents (which were there pre coloured coating you can see so I think shouldn’t have made it through quality control) and scratches which could have been done in the warehouse I guess, it wasn’t packaged particularly well but by the time we realised the bed had been built and that was SUCH a mammoth task we couldn’t face dismantling it to take it back, and then having to build a new one. Despite that it gifts Raffie’s room so much more space underneath it. We didn’t take much out of his room at all and this bed has simply been a creative way of making a larger area for him to play and dance (and have a friend over for a sleep-over). The mattress is the icing on the cake!

All in, this has transformed Raffie’s bedroom and I know this mattress will only enhance sleep because I’m already proof that this mattress is a winner. The Hybrid Pro from Origin in a single mattress size costs £527.45 right now. This is expensive compared to other mattresses but like I said, you get what you pay for. Have a lie down on this mattress, compare it to one half the price and you’ll see what I mean. It’s faultless so if you can, splash out, and you won’t regret it! We love our Hybrid Pro mattresses and have been asked a lot about their beds on socials too – I haven’t tried one but they look great, come perfectly ready for the Hybrid Pro mattress and have loads of storage underneath them – I’m keen on what I’ve seen!
