Parka Time From Nutmeg!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

It’s nearly Halloween, can you believe that? Where does the time go? One minute we were splashing about on the beach in Cromer and the next we seem to be sailing fast and furiously towards Christmas…

Aside from the fact that time moves far too quickly I totally embrace the winter because I adore ‘wrap up warm’ fashion. It’s sad to say goodbye to the sun for another year but I’m so ready for my black tights and boots and as soon as they come out of the wardrobe for me, the children’s clothes have to be updated too. Summer dresses and T.Shirts are put aside for another year and out come the thick coats and layered looks that I love so much on them.

This year we still have boots and a few items of clothing to go which we will shop for soon but we DO have our winter coats already. We went to the Nutmeg Winter preview a few months ago and both Florence and Jimmy decided they wanted grown up parkas this year. I love how the Nutmeg collections are geared up for different age groups and Florence totally chose from the more grown up looking range (which thankfully is still very traditional) while Jimmy went for a bright orange!

Typical parka coats with fur around the collar (this pops off if you need to wash them) and with a nipped in waist for Florence, which is elasticated to give comfort while still ‘looking’ the way she wants it to. Jimmy is thrilled with the badges on his and I am just super pleased that they both wipe clean!

She loves the fur on her coat's hood!

You can actually SEE how warm these coats are I think!

Inside is a teriffically soft furry fleece lining which then, when Florence put her hands in the pockets she exclaimed ‘It’s all soft and furry in the pockets too Mummy!’ What an immense idea!

They're a little bit cool too - the coats AND the kids!

We LOVE our new parka coats and don’t you think the children look just wonderful in them. Nutmeg Parkas are from around the £18 mark and I defy you not to buy more items when in Morrisons looking at the collection! I absolutely LOVE the space man hoodie and must pick that up for Jimmy and the Nutmeg tights are ALWAYS winners for us! The Nutmeg range is beautifully made with great little touches (like the insude of the parks pockets) and what I love the most is that they are fairly old-fashioned and traditional looking while still managing to have up to date looks too. Essentially they keep children looking like children and not mini adults – this is something I ALWAYS insist upon when buying my children clothes, they’re only young once right!

We were sent the Parkas from Nutmeg for the purpose of an honest review.
